How to edit an existing ICP

Editing an ICP lets you refine its prompt, swap example profiles, or tighten its default filters without recreating it from scratch.

How to open the editor

  1. Go to the ICPs tab.

  2. Click the ICP card you want to edit, or use the menu icon on the card.

  3. The editor opens as a side panel.

What you can edit

  • Title

  • Prompt

  • Positive examples (LinkedIn profile URLs)

  • Default filters (countries, industries, company size, cities, gender, followers range)

  • Keywords used for free pre-filtering, regenerated automatically when you edit the prompt or examples, or manually from the editor

Effect on existing leads

If you change the prompt or the positive examples, all the leads previously scored against this ICP are flagged as stale (an orange badge appears on their qualification). Stale means "scored against an older version of this ICP, may not reflect your current intent". You can re-score them in bulk from the Leads tab.

Changing only the default filters does not invalidate scores, since filters are evaluated when you look at the leads, not when they are scored.

Saving without changes

If you open the editor and save without changing anything, nothing happens. No credits are charged, no leads are flagged stale.

Frequently asked questions

Will editing an ICP cost credits?

No. Only the re-scoring of existing leads, if you trigger it, consumes credits.

Can I duplicate an ICP?

Not directly. Create a new ICP with the same prompt as a starting point.

What happens to leads if I delete an ICP?

The leads themselves stay in your pipeline. Only their qualification against the deleted ICP is removed. If they were qualified against other ICPs, those qualifications are untouched.
