Understanding and buying Leads credits
Credits are how MagicPost meters AI scoring in the Leads module. Each AI scoring uses credits from your quota. Everything else (pre-qualification, manual overrides, profile enrichment from cache, detection itself) is free.
What consumes credits
AI scoring of a new profile against an ICP.
Re-scoring of an existing lead after you edit the ICP.
What does not consume credits
Pre-qualification (keywords and default filters).
Manual verdict override, or clearing one.
Lead detection itself, capturing engagers is free.
Editing or archiving an ICP.
Monthly quota
Your tier comes with a monthly credit allowance. The Leads page header shows your remaining credits at a glance. Credits reset at your renewal date.
Top-ups: buy extra credits on demand
If your monthly quota is running low or you have a one-off burst of activity (a viral post, a campaign launch), top-ups let you buy extra credits without changing your tier.
To buy a top-up:
Click the credits widget in the Leads page header.
In the dialog, click Buy credits.
Complete the Stripe checkout.
The credits land in your account within seconds.
How top-ups are consumed
MagicPost spends credits in this order:
Your monthly quota first.
Top-ups next, oldest expiration first.
This ensures top-up credits never sit unused while your monthly quota refills.
What happens when I run out
Pending scorings are flagged Blocked. You can still capture engagers, edit ICPs, and use every other feature, only AI scoring pauses. The credit widget turns amber and shows how many scorings are blocked. The blockage clears the moment you top up or your quota renews, and queued scorings resume automatically.
Where to see your usage
Click the credits widget in the header. The dialog shows the monthly quota with a progress bar, active top-ups with their remaining balance and expiration, blocked scorings if any, and CTAs to top up or manage your subscription.
Upgrade your tier
If you find yourself topping up regularly, it may be more cost-effective to upgrade to a higher tier. Open the Stripe Customer Portal from the credits dialog to change tier.
