Healthcare is one of LinkedIn's busiest serious topics: we count 21,283 healthcare posts in the last 12 months in our dataset alone. Almost none of them travel. The typical healthcare post earns 28 likes.

So who actually reaches people when they write about health, medicine, pharma or patient care? At MagicPost, we took the 212 creators in our dataset who post about healthcare consistently (at least 10 healthcare posts in the last 12 months, minimum 5,000 followers) and ranked them by median likes on their healthcare posts alone. Not their overall fame: what happens, today, when they hit publish on this specific topic. Number twenty earns 13 times the typical healthcare post. Number one earns 92 times it.

Two numbers you will not find anywhere else sit in each profile below: the share of feed (is healthcare their whole platform or an occasional subject?) and the vs-overall figure: whether their healthcare posts earn more or less than their own usual median. Spoiler: most of this top 20 are CEOs and clinicians for whom healthcare is the job, and several of them earn less on it than on everything else they write.

His best of the year is about Alzheimer's diagnostics.

Just missed the cut

Five names land right behind, and they say a lot about how this ranking works. Dan Go (#21, 372 median likes per healthcare post) and Diana Zur Löwen (#22, 370) miss the cut by three likes of median. Dan Go is the structural case: he published 80 healthcare posts in 12 months on a near-500k audience, and a median is merciless with volume, every additional post has to beat your typical one, so his healthcare posts run 14% under his overall median. Nicolas Schmitz (#23, 353), whose feed is 94% healthcare, Spencer Knight (#24, 336) and Eric Topol (#25, 327), one of the most cited researchers in medicine, close the list. Publish less, hit harder, and any of the five enters the top 20 at the next quarterly refresh.

Four of these five also sit in the absolute top 20 (Bento, Ricks, Schinecker, Walmsley), proof that a focused medical feed on a mid-size audience can out-punch raw reach.

One more cut: not the typical post, but the total likes generated on healthcare posts over 12 months. This is where the high-frequency voices get their due:

Bill Gates generates the most total engagement with 87 posts; Claire Mounier-Vehier comes second on nearly twice the volume (139 posts). And this is the cut where the high-frequency clinicians belong: Mounier-Vehier and Boeckenfeld earn their place one post at a time.

The conversation champion

The ratio of comments to likes, the cut nobody publishes. The healthcare record belongs to Oliver Anwar: 55 median comments against 145 median likes on his healthcare posts, a 0.38 comment-to-like ratio when the platform norm is closer to one comment per ten likes. An executive health coach, he turns his feed into a conversation rather than a broadcast.

The residents and the tourists

Of the 212 creators who post healthcare consistently, only 71 dedicate more than half their feed to it. This top 20 splits the same way: residents like Dave Ricks (80% of his feed), Emma Walmsley (78%), Thomas Schinecker (74%) and Claire Mounier-Vehier (68%), and tourists like Pascal Bornet (4%), Florian Palatini (5%), Mel Robbins (6%) and Ellie Middleton (7%) whose rare healthcare posts can massively out-earn their usual content.

The data behind that tourist premium is consistent: an audience that did not sign up for healthcare still rewards a clear, human medical post, while full-time medical feeds compete with themselves. Ellie Middleton earns a 114% premium on 7% focus; Pascal Bornet a 48% premium on 4%. Meanwhile the pure residents, the pharma CEOs, mostly run flat or slightly under their own median. If you write about healthcare occasionally, you are playing the easier game.

Where this data comes from

Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a copied list. MagicPost analyzed 21,283 healthcare-themed LinkedIn posts from the last 12 months, kept the 212 creators with at least 10 healthcare posts and 5,000 followers (deleted posts excluded, company pages excluded), and ranked them by median likes on their healthcare posts. We also computed each creator's share of feed, their healthcare premium versus their own overall median, engagement rates and conversation ratios. Rankings refresh as the data does; figures dated June 2026. No one paid to be on this list, and no one can: it is arithmetic.

Who is the top healthcare creator on LinkedIn in 2026?

By real impact (median likes on healthcare posts over the last 12 months), Bill Gates: 2,598 median likes per healthcare post, 92 times the typical healthcare post on LinkedIn. Global health is his beat, and he carries the largest audience of the series at 40 million followers.

How is this ranking calculated?

Median likes on each creator's healthcare-themed posts over the last 12 months, among the 212 creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 10 healthcare posts and 5,000 followers. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot, and only healthcare posts count, so general fame cannot either.

Does posting about healthcare boost engagement on LinkedIn?

It depends who you are. The biggest premiums go to "tourists" whose feed is mostly about something else: Ellie Middleton earns 114% more on healthcare than her overall median, Pascal Bornet 48%, Mark Hyman 56%. Full-time medical voices, mostly pharma CEOs, tend to run flat or slightly under their own median. And the typical healthcare post still earns just 28 likes: the topic rewards clarity, not participation.

Who are the most efficient healthcare creators?

By engagement rate on healthcare posts (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Virgílio Bento of Sword Health (1.36%), ahead of Dave Ricks of Eli Lilly (1.29%), Thomas Schinecker of Roche (1.24%), Delphine Le Grand (0.98%) and Emma Walmsley (0.87%).

Are the top healthcare voices full-time healthcare creators?

Often, but not always. Only 71 of the 212 eligible creators dedicate more than half their feed to healthcare, and the top 20 is heavy with CEOs (Roche, Eli Lilly, Novartis, Pfizer, GSK, Sword Health) and clinicians for whom medicine is the job. But the highest theme premiums belong to occasional posters like Ellie Middleton and Pascal Bornet.

Which countries dominate healthcare content on LinkedIn?

Most of this top 20 is based in the United States, with France (Mounier-Vehier, Louis, Vigier and the #20 account), the United Kingdom (Walmsley, Middleton) and Switzerland (Narasimhan, Schinecker, Boeckenfeld) placing several each, plus Germany.
