Every "top LinkedIn creators in the US" list ranks people by followers. Here is the problem: followers measure the past, not the present. The biggest account in this ranking has 40.3 million followers, more than three times anyone else on the list, and lands thirteenth.

So we ranked the United States differently. At MagicPost, we analyzed the 1,871 US creators in our dataset (everyone with at least 5,000 followers and 30 posts in the last 12 months) and ranked them by median likes per post: what actually happens when they hit publish. For scale: the median US creator in this pool earns 40 likes per post. Number twenty on this list earns 45 times that. Number one earns 522 times that.

Each entry shows the creator's data card (followers, engagement rate, favorite slot, themes, trajectory of their median likes), what stands out, and their most liked post. The full board first, then the countdown:

The efficiency champions (pound for pound)

A former Wall Street executive turned meditation coach (Susan Chen) out-converts every CEO and author on this page. The top 20 itself ranges from 3.23% (Reese Witherspoon, #12 above) down to 0.01% (Bill Gates), a more than three-hundredfold spread: the most engaged US audiences belong to mid-sized accounts, not famous ones.

The conversation champion

One more cut nobody publishes: the ratio of comments to likes. The US record belongs to Divyanshi Sharma: 218 median comments against 137 median likes, more than one and a half comments per like, when the platform norm is one comment per ten likes. It is the most conversational feed measured.

Where are the "LinkedIn creators"?

Notice who dominates this top 20: big-tech CEOs (Pichai, Nadella, Garman), bestselling authors and academics (Grant, Brown, Sinek, Maxwell, Ng), athletes, an actress, an explorer. People whose subject is bigger than the platform. The US LinkedIn-native creators (the people who teach content and growth on the platform itself) are almost absent; only two cross over: Welsh at #14 and Hormozi at #15.

That does not make the native creators less interesting, it makes them a different study: they win on consistency, conversation engineering and selling, not on raw reach. We profiled them in our creators series, including Justin Welsh, Alex Hormozi and Gary Vaynerchuk.

One timing note while you are here: several of these twenty creators post in the evening or on weekends (Bill Gates on Friday at 6 PM, Maxwell at 8 PM, Sibel Terhaar and Adam Grant on the weekend), the opposite of what works for normal accounts in the United States (mornings, weekdays). When you already own an audience, the clock bends to you; until then, post before the crowd. And if part of your plan is showing up in these creators' comments, an engagement feed makes that a five-minute daily habit.

Study them, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can analyze any US creator the way we just did (median engagement, engagement rate, themes, trajectory, slots) and benchmark your own profile against the country. The data on this page is the product.

Where this data comes from

Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a copied list. MagicPost analyzed the last 12 months of posts of 1,871 US creators (minimum 5,000 followers and 30 posts, deleted posts excluded), ranked them by median likes per post, and computed per-creator themes, trajectories, writing fingerprints, engagement rates and conversation ratios. Rankings refresh as the data does; figures dated June 2026. No one paid to be on this list, and no one can: it is arithmetic.

FAQ

Who is the top LinkedIn creator in the United States in 2026?

By real impact (median likes per post over the last 12 months), the top LinkedIn creator in the USA is Sundar Pichai: 20,883 median likes across 4.4M followers, almost entirely about AI. By raw audience size, Bill Gates (40.3M followers), who ranks thirteenth by impact.

How is this ranking calculated?

Median likes per post over the last 12 months, among the 1,871 US creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 5,000 followers and 30 recent posts. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot.

Why is the biggest US account not number one?

Because followers measure accumulated audience, not current engagement. Bill Gates has more than three times the followers of anyone else here, but his engagement rate is 0.01%; the top of this list runs far higher.

Who are the most efficient US creators?

By engagement rate (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Susan Chen (7.23%), Reese Witherspoon (3.23%) and Chad Janis (3.01%), all mid-sized accounts that out-convert the famous ones.

Are there any "LinkedIn creators" in the US top 20?

Almost none. The top tier belongs to big-tech CEOs, bestselling authors and academics. The only LinkedIn-native creators who cross over are Justin Welsh (#14) and Alex Hormozi (#15).

What is the best time to post on LinkedIn in the United States?

For most accounts, mornings on weekdays (the full US timing data). Several of this top 20 post in the evening or on weekends instead, a luxury of already owning an audience.
