Hoe verander ik mijn tijdzone?
You change your MagicPost time zone in Settings, under the LinkedIn tab, on the Time zone card. The setting exists on every MagicPost account, free or paid. The time zone belongs to your account only: in an organization, each member has their own.
What MagicPost does with your time zone
MagicPost uses your time zone to display dates and times in the app. MagicPost also reads the date and time you pick for a scheduled post in that time zone. MagicPost sets the time zone from your browser when you create your account, and you can change it at any time.
How to change your MagicPost time zone
Open the profile menu at the bottom of the MagicPost sidebar and select Settings. For the owner or an administrator of an organization who has no seat, the entry and the page are called My account, and Time zone is on the same LinkedIn tab.
Go to the LinkedIn tab. This link opens the tab directly: app.magicpost.in/settings?tab=linkedin.
On the Time zone card, open the list and select your time zone. The list is searchable and names each time zone as a region and a city, for example Europe/Paris or America/New_York.
MagicPost saves the new time zone as soon as you select it. There is no save button. The Time zone card then shows the current date and time in the time zone you selected, so you can check the result.
Change the time zone while you schedule a post
MagicPost also lets you change the time zone from the scheduling panel of a post. Open the options menu next to the time and select Change the time zone, then pick a time zone in the list. This changes the time zone of your MagicPost account, the same setting as in Settings, not a time zone for that post alone.
For the scheduling steps, see how to schedule a LinkedIn post.
FAQ
Does changing my MagicPost time zone move the posts I already scheduled?
No. MagicPost stores the exact moment of publication when you schedule a post, and the post still goes out at that moment. After you change your time zone, MagicPost displays that same moment in the new time zone, so the hour on screen can look different. The new time zone applies to the posts you schedule from then on.
Does my MagicPost time zone apply to my whole team?
No. MagicPost saves the time zone on your own account. In an organization, every member keeps their own time zone, and changing yours does not change theirs.
How do I check which time zone my MagicPost account uses?
Open Settings, then the LinkedIn tab. The Time zone card shows the selected time zone and the current date and time in that time zone. If the time on the card does not match your local time, select another time zone.
I opened MagicPost Settings and I do not see the time zone. Where is it?
The Time zone card is in the LinkedIn tab of the MagicPost settings. Settings opens on the Preferences tab, which does not contain the time zone. Select LinkedIn in the list of tabs to find the card.
