Every "top LinkedIn creators in Germany" list ranks people by followers. Here is the problem with that: followers measure the past, not the present. Germany also has the densest pool we measure: the median German creator earns 61 likes a post, the highest national median of any country in this series, so making the top here means clearing a higher bar than almost anywhere else.
So we ranked Germany differently. At MagicPost, we analyzed the 263 German creators in our dataset (everyone with at least 5,000 followers and 30 posts in the last 12 months) and ranked them by median likes per post over the last 12 months: what actually happens, today, when they hit publish. For scale: against that national median of 61, number twenty on this list earns about 9 times as much, and number one earns 58 times as much. The top is heavy with DAX chief executives, an airline CEO, a startup investor, and politicians.
Each entry shows the creator's data card (followers, engagement rate, favorite posting slot, themes, multi-year trajectory of their median likes), what stands out in their numbers, and their most liked post of the last 12 months.
The full board first, then the countdown:

Where do these cards come from? Every figure on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics: median engagement, engagement rates, themes, trajectories and favorite slots, across 263 German creators. It works on your profile too, including a side-by-side with anyone on this list.
The efficiency champions (pound for pound)
Raw likes favor big audiences, so here is the other cut: engagement rate, median likes per post divided by followers (minimum 20k followers). The list changes completely:
Creator | Followers | Engagement rate | Median likes |
25k | 1.56% | 393 | |
55k | 1.55% | 845 | |
22k | 1.39% | 300 | |
31k | 1.25% | 388 | |
81k | 1.23% | 996 |
A startup founder (Erdal Uğur Ahlatçı) out-converts every DAX CEO on this page. For comparison, the top 20 ranges from 1.55% (Jelinek) down to 0.22% (Lindner), a sevenfold spread: the most engaged audiences in Germany belong to mid-sized accounts, not the biggest names.
The conversation champion
One more cut nobody publishes: the ratio of comments to likes. The German record belongs to Dr. Angela Kerek MBA: 158 median comments against 161 median likes, almost one comment per like, when the platform norm is one comment per ten likes. It is the most conversational feed of the 263 we measured.
Where are the "LinkedIn creators"?
Notice who dominates this top 20: a startup investor, DAX chief executives at SAP, Siemens and Telekom, an airline CEO, sitting and former politicians, and media voices. People whose subject is bigger than the platform. The German LinkedIn-native creators (the people who teach content, copywriting and growth on the platform itself) are almost entirely absent from the raw-impact top.
That does not make the native creators less interesting, it makes them a different study: they win on consistency, conversation engineering and selling, not on raw reach. We profiled them, data biography by data biography, in our creators series, including Johannes Kliesch, Nils Grammerstorf, Tim Jaschke and Nadine Rippler. None of them appears in this top 20: their game is a different one.
One timing note while you are here: three of these twenty creators post in the evening or on Sunday, the opposite of what works for normal accounts in Germany (mornings, weekdays). When you already own an audience, the clock bends to you; until then, post before the crowd. And if part of your plan is showing up in these creators' comments, an engagement feed makes that a daily five-minute habit.
Study them, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can analyze any German creator the way we just did (median engagement, engagement rate, themes, trajectory, slots) and benchmark your own profile against the country. The data on this page is the product.
Where this data comes from
Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a copied list. MagicPost analyzed the last 12 months of posts of 263 German creators (minimum 5,000 followers and 30 posts, deleted posts excluded), ranked them by median likes per post, and computed per-creator themes, yearly trajectories, writing fingerprints, engagement rates (median likes / followers) and conversation ratios. Rankings refresh as the data does; figures dated June 2026. No one paid to be on this list, and no one can: it is arithmetic.
Perguntas Frequentes
Who is the top LinkedIn creator in Germany in 2026?
By real impact (median likes per post over the last 12 months), Carsten Maschmeyer: 3,557 median likes across 505k followers, more than double the second-placed account. He combines the biggest audience of this top 20 with the strongest engagement among accounts that size.
How is this ranking calculated?
Median likes per post over the last 12 months, among the 263 German creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 5,000 followers and 30 recent posts. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot.
Why do the biggest names not always rank highest?
Because followers measure accumulated audience, not current engagement. Christian Lindner has one of the largest audiences here, but his engagement rate is 0.22% (median likes divided by followers); the most efficient accounts on this list run roughly seven times higher.
Who are the most efficient German creators?
By engagement rate (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Erdal Uğur Ahlatçı (1.56%), Peter Jelinek (1.55%) and Roos Jansen (1.39%), all mid-sized accounts that out-convert the celebrities.
Are there any "LinkedIn creators" in the German top 20?
Almost none. The top tier belongs to startup investors, DAX CEOs, politicians and media voices. The LinkedIn-native creators who teach growth on the platform sit below this raw-impact cut.
What is the best time to post on LinkedIn in Germany?
For most accounts, mornings on weekdays (the full German timing data). Only three of this top 20 post in the evening or on Sunday instead, a luxury of already owning an audience.
