Every "top LinkedIn creators in Canada" list ranks people by followers. Here is the problem with that: followers measure the past, not the present. Look at Dan Go, who has 497k followers, the second-largest audience on this list: he lands seventh, with a 0.09% engagement rate, the lowest of the top 20. Audience size and impact are not the same thing.
So we ranked Canada differently. At MagicPost, we analyzed the 193 Canadian creators in our dataset (everyone with at least 5,000 followers and 30 posts in the last 12 months) and ranked them by median likes per post over the last 12 months: what actually happens, today, when they hit publish. For scale: the median Canadian creator in this pool earns 37 likes per post. Number twenty on this list earns 5 times that. Number one earns 56 times that.
Each entry shows the creator's data card (followers, engagement rate, favorite posting slot, themes, multi-year trajectory of their median likes), what stands out in their numbers, and their most liked post of the last 12 months.
The full board first, then the countdown:

Where do these cards come from? Every figure on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics: median engagement, engagement rates, themes, trajectories and favorite slots, across 193 Canadian creators. It works on your profile too, including a side-by-side with anyone on this list.
The efficiency champions (pound for pound)
Raw likes favor big audiences, so here is the other cut: engagement rate, median likes per post divided by followers (minimum 20k followers). The list changes completely:
Creator | Followers | Engagement rate | Median likes |
53k | 0.86% | 456 | |
26k | 0.72% | 185 | |
24k | 0.70% | 168 | |
27k | 0.61% | 164 | |
22k | 0.56% | 124 |
These are mostly mid-sized accounts that out-convert the bigger names by audience share. For comparison, the top 20 ranges from 3.74% (Sophie Dillon, #10 above) down to 0.09% (Dan Go), a fortyfold spread: the most engaged audiences in Canada belong to smaller accounts, not the largest ones.
The conversation champion
One more cut nobody publishes: the ratio of comments to likes. The Canadian record belongs to Sanchit Shangari: 223 median comments against 208 median likes, more than one comment per like, when the platform norm is one comment per ten likes. It is the most conversational feed of the 193 we measured.
Where are the "LinkedIn creators"?
Notice who dominates this top 20: executive advisors, coaches, founders, a finance leader, a product manager. Many of them treat LinkedIn as a channel for an underlying business rather than as the business itself. The LinkedIn-native creators (the people who teach content, copywriting and growth on the platform) are present but rarely at the very top; Tobi Oluwole, at #3, is the clearest crossover.
That does not make the native creators less interesting, it makes them a different study: they win on consistency, conversation engineering and selling, not always on raw reach. We profiled them, data biography by data biography, in our creators series, including Tobi Oluwole.
One timing note while you are here: every one of these twenty creators posts on a weekday, almost all of them in the morning, in line with what works for normal accounts (mornings, weekdays). The difference is volume and audience, not the clock. And if part of your plan is showing up in these creators' comments, an engagement feed makes that a daily five-minute habit.
Study them, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can analyze any Canadian creator the way we just did (median engagement, engagement rate, themes, trajectory, slots) and benchmark your own profile against the country. The data on this page is the product.
Where this data comes from
Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a copied list. MagicPost analyzed the last 12 months of posts of 193 Canadian creators (minimum 5,000 followers and 30 posts, deleted posts excluded), ranked them by median likes per post, and computed per-creator themes, yearly trajectories, writing fingerprints, engagement rates (median likes / followers) and conversation ratios. Rankings refresh as the data does; figures dated June 2026. No one paid to be on this list, and no one can: it is arithmetic.
Perguntas Frequentes
Who is the top LinkedIn creator in Canada in 2026?
By real impact (median likes per post over the last 12 months), Colby Kultgen: 2,068 median likes across 506k followers, 56 times the national median. He also has the largest audience on the list, a rare case where the biggest account is also the most engaged.
How is this ranking calculated?
Median likes per post over the last 12 months, among the 193 Canadian creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 5,000 followers and 30 recent posts. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot.
Why does the second-biggest Canadian account not rank higher?
Because followers measure accumulated audience, not current engagement. Dan Go has 497k followers, the second-largest here, but his engagement rate is 0.09% (median likes divided by followers); he lands seventh, while smaller accounts run far higher.
Who are the most efficient Canadian creators?
By engagement rate (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Sufyan Maan (0.86%), Ahmed Khalil (0.72%) and Andrew Aziz (0.70%), all mid-sized accounts that out-convert the larger ones by audience share.
Are there any "LinkedIn creators" in the Canadian top 20?
A few. The top tier mixes executive advisors, coaches and founders. The clearest LinkedIn-native crossover is Tobi Oluwole, at #3 with 937 median likes.
What is the best time to post on LinkedIn in Canada?
For most accounts, weekday mornings (the full LinkedIn timing data). Every creator in this top 20 posts on a weekday, almost all in the morning; their edge is audience and volume, not an unusual slot.
