Como analisar outro criador do LinkedIn?
MagicPost can load the public posts of another LinkedIn creator into the metrics dashboard, so you can study what a competitor, a colleague or a reference in your niche publishes. Click Analyze another profile next to your name on the Metrics page, search for the person, and the dashboard switches to their posts, likes and comments. Analyzing another creator is included in Growth, Creator, Agency e Team, and it is open during the free trial.
MagicPost shows only the public data of another creator. Impressions, the engagement rate and followers gained stay private. The LinkedIn competitor analysis page presents the feature, and the dashboard itself is described in how to analyze your LinkedIn metrics.
How to load another creator's profile
In MagicPost, open Metrics.
Next to your name, click Analyze another profile. On a small screen the button is an icon, with the same words as a tooltip.
In the Analyze a LinkedIn profile panel, type a name in the search field.
Click the profile in the results. The MagicPost dashboard loads that creator's posts.
The search panel of MagicPost keeps the profiles you opened under Recent profiles, so you can return to a creator in one click. A result shows the creator's public follower count when MagicPost knows it.
If the creator is not in the search results
You can add a LinkedIn profile to MagicPost yourself. After a search, the panel shows a card Can't find it? with the line Add the profile with their LinkedIn URL. Open that card, paste the URL of the creator's LinkedIn profile and click Add. MagicPost imports the profile, loads it in the dashboard and starts fetching its posts.
If MagicPost shows an error after you click Add, check the URL. MagicPost accepts the address of a LinkedIn profile (linkedin.com/in/…) or of a LinkedIn company page (linkedin.com/company/…).
What MagicPost shows for another creator
For another creator, the MagicPost dashboard keeps the Reporting and Posts tabs, with public data only:
The posts MagicPost has fetched for the selected period, with their likes and comments
The key figures: number of posts, median likes, median comments and posts per week
The progression chart, on likes, comments, shares or number of posts
Their best posts of the period
The Additional statistics section, which compares their themes in the large card, then their post types, days, hours and formats, on likes, comments or shares. Impressions, followers gained and Detected leads are not offered there.
Since impressions are private, MagicPost shows the median comments card in place of the median impressions card on another creator's profile. Clicking a post opens a read-only preview of the post.
In the Reporting tab of another creator's profile, hover What data is available? to read inside MagicPost that only public data is accessible. That tooltip does not mention reposts.
MagicPost skips reposts, with or without a comment, when it fetches another creator's posts. The list of another creator in MagicPost can therefore count fewer posts than their LinkedIn profile shows. A repost with a comment can still appear when the creator has connected their own LinkedIn account to MagicPost.
How to update another creator's posts
MagicPost shows the posts it has already fetched for another creator. Selecting a creator in the search results does not fetch new posts, so the list can stop before the creator's latest posts.
With the creator's profile loaded in MagicPost metrics, click the line under the creator's name that shows the last sync of their posts, for example Synced 3 hours ago (Refresh posts if their posts were never synced). The Refresh options panel opens.
Choose how far back the refresh goes, then click Refresh.
During the MagicPost free trial, only the smallest option of the Refresh options panel can be selected. The same panel is described in why MagicPost numbers differ from LinkedIn's.
What stays private
MagicPost does not show these figures for another creator, because LinkedIn gives them to the owner of the profile only:
Impressions and unique views
The engagement rate, which needs impressions
Followers gained
Saves, link clicks, profile clicks and premium CTA clicks
On another creator's profile, MagicPost also disables what belongs to your own account. The Audience and Benchmarks tabs are greyed out with the tooltip Available only on your profile. The CSV export, Export stats, Customize charts and Add a chart are hidden. Your post labels are not shown.
How to go back to your own profile
To leave another creator's profile in MagicPost metrics, click the small arrow on the profile photo at the top of the page. Its tooltip reads Back to my profile. You can also click Analyze another profile again and select your own profile under Go back to my profile.
How to use it well
Comparing your likes with a much larger account tells you little, because audience sizes differ too much. What transfers from another creator is structure: their formats, their posting rhythm, the themes they return to and the posts that stand out. Study a few creators in your niche in MagicPost, note what they have in common, and test it in your own voice.
For a comparison adjusted to your size, use the Benchmarks tab on your own profile. It compares your impressions with creators in your follower range.
FAQ
Can a creator see that I analyzed their profile in MagicPost?
No. MagicPost does not notify the creator. The analysis shows their public posts, likes and comments, and nothing is posted or sent to them.
Why can I not find a profile in the MagicPost search?
The profile is not in the MagicPost search yet. Run the search, then use the Can't find it? card under the results and paste the LinkedIn URL of the profile. You do not need to contact support.
Why are some of a creator's posts missing in MagicPost?
The post is a repost, or MagicPost has not fetched it yet. MagicPost does not fetch another creator's reposts, with or without a comment, and it does not count posts published in LinkedIn groups. For any other post, widen the period, then click the last sync line under the creator's name (Synced …).
Can I see another creator's impressions or follower growth?
No. Impressions, the engagement rate and followers gained are private data that LinkedIn gives to the owner of the profile only. MagicPost shows the creator's public follower count in the search results, not its evolution.
Can I export another creator's posts?
No. MagicPost hides the CSV export and the report on another creator's profile. See how to export your LinkedIn metrics.
Which MagicPost plan includes the analysis of other creators?
Analyzing another creator comes with the metrics dashboard, included in Growth, Creator, Agency e Team. On the Agency plan, a member on an Engagement seat has no access to metrics. If you are still on a former Analytics or Starter plan, see the Analytics and Starter plans.
