How to analyze another LinkedIn creator?
The metrics dashboard is not limited to your own profile. Point it at a competitor, a colleague, or the voice everyone in your niche quotes, and study what is working for them before writing your next post.
Included from the Analytics plan.
Switching profiles
Click Other profile in the dashboard header and search for anyone indexed by MagicPost. The dashboard switches to their data, and the accent colour updates to match the selected profile so you always know whose numbers you are reading.
Switching back to your own profile takes one click in the same place.
What you can see
Their public activity, organised the way your own dashboard is:
Every post in the period, with likes and comments
Their formats: carousels, videos, images, text
Their themes and posting rhythm
Their best posts, ranked
Click any post to read it in full, in a read-only view.
That is enough to answer the questions that matter: what do they post about, how often, in which formats, and what lands.
What stays private
Impressions, engagement rate and follower counts are private. LinkedIn does not expose another person's private metrics to any tool, and any tool claiming to show them is guessing. For the same reason, the Audience and Benchmarks tabs work on your own profile only.
Since impressions are missing, the dashboard leads with median comments instead of median impressions on someone else's profile.
How to use it well
Comparing your likes to a big account's likes tells you little: audience sizes differ too much. What transfers is structure: their hooks, their formats, their posting cadence, the themes they return to. Study three creators in your niche, note what they all do, and test it in your own voice.
For a size-adjusted comparison of your numbers, use Benchmarks: it compares you to your follower bracket, which is fairer than comparing yourself to any single account.
FAQ
Can they see that I analyzed them?
No. You are reading public data. Nothing is sent to them, and there is no trace on their side.
Why can I not find a profile?
The search covers profiles indexed by MagicPost. If someone is missing, tell us in the chat and we can look into indexing them.
Which plan do I need?
Other-profile analysis is included from the Analytics plan, like the rest of the dashboard.
