Career advice is everywhere on LinkedIn: we count 13,985 career development posts in the last 12 months in our dataset alone. Almost all of them pass unnoticed. The typical career development post earns 49 likes.

So who actually lands when they talk careers, jobs and growth? At MagicPost, we took the 239 creators in our dataset who post about career development consistently (at least 10 career development posts in the last 12 months, minimum 5,000 followers) and ranked them by median likes on their career development posts alone. Not their overall fame: what happens, today, when they hit publish on this specific topic. Number twenty earns 13 times the typical career development post. Number one earns 75 times it.

Two numbers you will not find anywhere else sit in each profile below: the share of feed (is career advice their whole identity or an occasional theme?) and the vs-overall figure: whether their career posts earn more or less than their own usual median. Spoiler: for 14 of these 20, career development out-earns everything else they write.

The full board first, then the countdown:

Top 20 LinkedIn creators on Career Development, ranked by real impact

TL;DR: We ranked the top 20 LinkedIn creators on Career Development by one number nobody else publishes: median likes on their career development posts alone, over 12 months and 239 creators. Dora Vanourek leads with 3,665 median likes per career development post, 75x what the typical career development post earns (49 likes).

Where do these cards come from? Every figure on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics: median engagement per theme, share of feed, theme premiums, trajectories, across 239 career development creators and 13,985 career development posts. It works on your profile too, including a side-by-side with anyone on this list.

Just missed the cut

Five names land right behind, and they say a lot about how this ranking works. Hala Taha (#21, 589 median likes per career development post), Meera Remani (#22, 575) and Alex Freberg (#23, 547) miss the cut by a handful of likes of median. Then come Brian Golod (#24, 534), one of the few here whose feed is half career development (50% focus), and Loren Rosario-Maldonado (#25, 514), who closes the list on the smallest audience of the five (32k followers) and an 85% theme premium. Publish a little more, hit a little harder, and any of the five enters the top 20 at the next quarterly refresh.

The efficiency champions (pound for pound)

Raw likes favor big audiences, so here is the other cut: engagement rate on career development posts, median likes divided by followers (minimum 20k followers). The list changes completely:

The volume game (total career development engagement)

One more cut: not the typical post, but the total likes generated on career development posts over 12 months. This is where the high-frequency voices get their due:

The conversation champion

The ratio of comments to likes, the cut nobody publishes. The career development record belongs to Ehsan Ali: 134 median comments against 126 median likes on his career development posts, more than one comment per like when the platform norm is closer to one per ten. A career strategist for senior IT professionals, he turns every post into a discussion.

The residents and the tourists

Of the 239 creators who post career development consistently, only 28 dedicate more than half their feed to it. This top 20 splits the same way: there are almost no residents at the top. Melissa Grabiner (50% of her feed) is the most dedicated name in the ranking, with Dan Mian (32%), Thomas Tsangaras (22%) and Jahnavi Shah (23%) the only others above a fifth. The rest are tourists: Dora Vanourek (3%), Gary Vaynerchuk (2%), Will McTighe (4%) and Véronique Barrot (5%) all build their feeds around something else.

The data behind that tourist premium is consistent: an audience that did not sign up for career advice still rewards a clear, honest career post, while full-time career feeds compete with themselves. Will McTighe (+86%), Jean Kang (+85%) and Dora Vanourek (+79%) carry the three biggest premiums of the ranking, and all three keep career development under a sixth of their output. If you write about careers occasionally, you are playing the easier game.

Two related studies while you are here: who dominates LinkedIn country by country (United States, Canada, the full series), and the creators who define every other theme on the platform. And if your plan includes showing up in these creators' comments, an engagement feed makes that a daily five-minute habit.

Study them, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can analyze any career development creator the way we just did (median engagement by theme, share of feed, premiums, trajectory) and benchmark your own profile. The data on this page is the product.

Where this data comes from

Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a copied list. MagicPost analyzed 13,985 career-development-themed LinkedIn posts from the last 12 months, kept the 239 creators with at least 10 career development posts and 5,000 followers (deleted posts excluded, company pages excluded), and ranked them by median likes on their career development posts. We also computed each creator's share of feed, their career development premium versus their own overall median, engagement rates and conversation ratios. Rankings refresh as the data does; figures dated June 2026. No one paid to be on this list, and no one can: it is arithmetic.

SSS

Who is the top career development creator on LinkedIn in 2026?

By real impact (median likes on career development posts over the last 12 months), Dora Vanourek: 3,665 median likes per career development post, more than 50% ahead of the number two (Rob Dance) and 75 times the typical career development post on LinkedIn.

How is this ranking calculated?

Median likes on each creator's career-development-themed posts over the last 12 months, among the 239 creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 10 career development posts and 5,000 followers. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot, and only career development posts count, so general fame cannot either.

Does posting about career development boost engagement on LinkedIn?

For most of this top 20, yes: 14 of the 20 earn more on their career development posts than their own overall median, with premiums up to 86% (Will McTighe). The effect is strongest for "tourists" whose feed is mostly about something else. But the typical career development post still earns just 49 likes: the topic rewards honesty, not participation.

Who are the most efficient career development creators?

By engagement rate on career development posts (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Loren Rosario-Maldonado (1.59%), ahead of Alexandre Ducros (1.37%), Bhanu Singh Yede (1.24%) and Thomas Pearce (0.88%).

Are the top career voices full-time career creators?

Mostly not. Only 28 of the 239 eligible creators dedicate more than half their feed to career development, and just one of them, Melissa Grabiner, reaches the top 20. The ranking is dominated by tourists, from executives like Gary Vaynerchuk and Ryan Roslansky to marketing creators like Will McTighe, for whom career advice is an occasional post, not the whole identity.

Which countries dominate career development content on LinkedIn?

This top 20 is led by the United States (eleven creators), with the United Kingdom placing four (Rob Dance, Thomas Pearce, Véronique Barrot, Dan Mian), and Canada, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and Australia (Tim Denning) one each. Country-by-country rankings are in our country series.
