Almost every "top LinkedIn creators in the US" list is a follower leaderboard wearing a different hat. The catch is simple: followers tell you who signed up at some point, not who still gets read. The biggest account in this ranking holds 40.3 million followers, more than triple anyone else here, and lands no higher than thirteenth.
So we measured the United States another way. At MagicPost we took the 1,871 US creators in our dataset (5,000-plus followers, 30 posts minimum over the last 12 months) and ranked them on median likes per post: the real-world result every time they hit publish. The middle-of-the-road US creator in this pool pulls 40 likes a post. Number twenty here pulls 45 times that. Number one pulls 522 times it.
Each entry comes with a data card (followers, engagement rate, favorite slot, themes, the arc of their median likes), a note on what stands out, and the single most liked post. Hungry for more like them? They live in MagicPost's post inspiration library. The full board first, then the countdown:

TL;DR: We ranked the top 20 LinkedIn creators in the United States by what their posts actually earn: median likes over the last 12 months, across 1,871 creators. Sundar Pichai leads with 20,883 median likes per post, 522x the national median.

Where do these cards come from? Every figure on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics: median engagement, engagement rates, themes, trajectories and favorite slots, across 1,871 US creators. It works on your profile too, including a side-by-side with anyone here.
Which US creators have the highest engagement rate?
Raw like totals flatter the biggest crowds, so here is the corrective: engagement rate, median likes divided by followers (20k-follower floor). The order looks nothing like the one above:
Creator | Followers | Engagement rate | Median likes |
24k | 7.23% | 1,705 | |
99k | 3.23% | 3,198 | |
24k | 3.01% | 718 | |
20k | 2.95% | 602 | |
41k | 2.73% | 1,115 |
A former Wall Street executive turned meditation coach (Susan Chen) out-converts every CEO and author on this page. The top 20 itself ranges from 3.23% (Reese Witherspoon, #12 above) down to 0.01% (Bill Gates), a more than three-hundredfold spread, all set against the national LinkedIn engagement rate: the most engaged US audiences belong to mid-sized accounts, not famous ones.
Who gets the most comments per post in the US?
One final cut that rarely makes these lists: comments relative to likes. The US record goes to Divyanshi Sharma, at 218 median comments against 137 median likes, north of one and a half comments per like, against a platform baseline of roughly one per ten. Nothing we measured generates more back-and-forth.
Where are the "LinkedIn creators"?
Notice who dominates this top 20: big-tech CEOs (Pichai, Nadella, Garman), bestselling authors and academics (Grant, Brown, Sinek, Maxwell, Ng), athletes, an actress, an explorer. People whose subject is bigger than the platform. The US LinkedIn-native creators (the people who teach content and growth on the platform itself) are almost absent; only two cross over: Welsh at #14 and Hormozi at #15.
That is no knock on the natives; it just marks them as a different study. Their strengths are consistency, conversation engineering and selling, rather than sheer reach. We profiled them in our creators series, including Justin Welsh, Alex Hormozi and Gary Vaynerchuk.
A word on timing before you move on. Several of these twenty publish in the evening or at the weekend: Bill Gates on Friday at 6 PM, Maxwell at 8 PM, Sibel Terhaar and Adam Grant on Saturday or Sunday. That runs counter to what works for ordinary accounts in the United States, which is weekday mornings. With the audience already built, the schedule yields to you; before that point, beat the crowd to the feed.
And if showing up in these creators' comment threads is part of your plan, an engagement feed keeps it to a five-minute daily habit.
Study them, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can analyze any US creator the way we just did (median engagement, engagement rate, themes, trajectory, slots) and benchmark your own profile against the country. The data on this page is the product.
Where this data comes from
All of this is MagicPost's own research, not a list lifted from somewhere else. We read the last 12 months of posts from 1,871 US creators and ranked them by median likes per post. The ground rules:
Floors: 5,000 followers and at least 30 posts in the window; deleted posts excluded.
Median over average: a single viral post can't buy a ranking.
Per creator we also worked out themes, trajectories, writing fingerprints, engagement rates and conversation ratios.
Rankings refresh as the data does; figures dated June 2026. No seat on this list was paid for or could be; arithmetic alone sets the order.
FAQ
Who is the top LinkedIn creator in the United States in 2026?
By real impact (median likes per post over the last 12 months), the top LinkedIn creator in the USA is Sundar Pichai: 20,883 median likes across 4.4M followers, almost entirely about AI. By raw audience size, Bill Gates (40.3M followers), who ranks thirteenth by impact.
How is this ranking calculated?
Median likes per post over the last 12 months, among the 1,871 US creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 5,000 followers and 30 recent posts. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot.
Why is the biggest US account not number one?
Because followers measure accumulated audience, not current engagement. Bill Gates has more than three times the followers of anyone else here, but his engagement rate is 0.01%; the top of this list runs far higher.
Who are the most efficient US creators?
By engagement rate (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Susan Chen (7.23%), Reese Witherspoon (3.23%) and Chad Janis (3.01%), all mid-sized accounts that out-convert the famous ones.
Are there any "LinkedIn creators" in the US top 20?
Almost none. The top tier belongs to big-tech CEOs, bestselling authors and academics. The only LinkedIn-native creators who cross over are Justin Welsh (#14) and Alex Hormozi (#15).
What is the best time to post on LinkedIn in the United States?
For most accounts, mornings on weekdays (the full US timing data). Several of this top 20 post in the evening or on weekends instead, a luxury of already owning an audience.
