Let us name the awkwardness first: this is MagicPost's website, and this page lists our competitors. We wrote it anyway, for two reasons.
First, you searched for it, and the honest version of this page beats the version a competitor would write about us. Second, we have spent months auditing every tool below on their own pages, help docs and public reviews for our alternatives series, so this may genuinely be the best-sourced page on this query.
The deal: we tell you exactly when each tool beats us, we link our full audit of each, and we keep our own pitch to one section at the end. If we were the wrong choice for you, one of these eleven is probably right.
TL;DR: Yes, we wrote this about ourselves. 11 real MagicPost alternatives and when each genuinely beats us, with the same receipts we use on every competitor. The honest routing:
AuthoredUp for zero AI
Kleo for human coaching
Buffer or Agorapulse or Swello for multi-network
When Should You Look for a MagicPost Alternative?
Honesty works better as a list:
You manage five networks, not one. MagicPost is LinkedIn-only, deliberately. If Instagram and TikTok are half your job, you need a generalist (#6-8 below), possibly alongside us, but maybe instead of us.
You want a permanent free plan. Our trial is free, complete and card-free, but it is a trial. TypeGrow (#2) and Buffer's free tier (#6) are genuinely free, with their own trade-offs.
You want zero AI, on principle. We are AI-native; that is the product. AuthoredUp (#1) made the opposite bet and executes it beautifully.
You want live human coaching. Our advice ships as published research; nobody gets on a call with you. Kleo V3 (#4) runs weekly group coaching; Stanley (#5) is the always-on AI version.
You want the cheapest possible tool. We are premium and priced like it. RedactAI starts at $11.90/mo, Postdrips at $18/mo; both are honest narrow tools we have reviewed.
You need an intranet around your advocacy. Sociabble (#11) is an employee-experience platform; we are not.

1. AuthoredUp: if you want zero AI
The opposite bet from ours, executed with the most transparent stance in the category: privacy-first, no automation and no cookies. Formatting, fold-accurate previews, 150+ hook references, readability grading and a deep counting dashboard, from $19.95/mo with a no-card trial.
If our AI-native premise is what put you off, this is the strongest version of the alternative premise. The honest caveat from our audit: it runs as a Chrome extension in your session, and there is no generation at all, the blank page stays yours.
2. TypeGrow: if you want a great free trial
$29/mo with a nice free trial that offers an AI assistant, scheduler, hook generator, carousel maker and a 1M+ viral-post library, claiming official-API publishing with no extension.
Our audit's caveats: analytics undocumented and no team features yet.
3. Supergrow: if interview-style writing fits your brain
"Postcast" AI interviews, "Content DNA" voice training and voice-to-post, with real scheduling and a team plan, from $19/mo. It is the modern writing experience next to ours, at an accessible price.
From our audit: its own reviewers' most repeated critique is the analytics, engagement stays manual, and its pages never document the publishing mechanism, the three gaps to weigh against the writing quality.
4. Kleo V3: if you want humans, not just software
Weekly live group coaching and a private creator community, founded by two of LinkedIn's best-known creators, around a conversational writing app with one-click graphics, at $99/mo with no trial.
We cannot offer you what Kleo's calls offer, and nothing else on this page can either. From our audit: the software around the coaching is young (no analytics documented, early users report bugs), so buy it for the humans.
5. Stanley: if you want an AI coach, not a workflow
The deepest conversational writing experience we have tested: it interviews you, critiques your posts and charts your growth, at $149/mo with no trial.
It publishes nothing, by design, so it pairs with a scheduler rather than replacing one. If thinking partner is the job description, this is the hire; our full reasoning: Stanley alternatives.
6. Buffer: if you need several networks, lightly
The friendliest generalist: a real free plan (3 channels, LinkedIn included), per-channel pricing from $5/mo, a team that answers its critics by name, and, uniquely among the big generalists, shipped person-mentions for LinkedIn behind documented conditions (connections only, English-language profiles, opt-in settings).
The LinkedIn module is caption-grade, though. Many of our users run Buffer for their other networks alongside us, and that combo costs nothing to test.
7. Agorapulse: if you need the full multi-network suite
The best-reviewed big suite (4.0/5 on 57 Trustpilot reviews): unified inbox, social listening, moderation and reporting across 11 networks, $79-149/user/mo with a 30-day no-card trial, the category's most generous.
From our audit, the LinkedIn-specific limit in its own help centre: personal profiles cannot mention another personal profile. For agency operations across many networks, it is the suite we would shortlist.
8. Swello: if you want the French generalist
The best public record we have audited anywhere, ours included: 4.9/5 across 154 uninvited Trustpilot reviews, not one negative. Scheduling across seven networks with an image editor and a support culture its users praise by name, from €19/mo with a no-card trial.
The LinkedIn module is generalist-grade (caption AI, no documented mentions), which is the only reason this page exists above it.
9. SocialSonic: if you want maximum surface per dollar
AI writing trained on viral LinkedIn posts, scheduling, analytics with lead attribution, carousels and gamification from $20/mo, with team tiers at $75 and agency tiers at $200. It is the most feature-per-dollar tool we have audited.
The caveats we publish everywhere: the publishing mechanism is not documented, engagement runs through a four-network extension, and some features were "coming soon" at check time.
10. Taplio: if you want breadth plus outreach, eyes open
The best-known LinkedIn all-in-one, with a viral library, engagement tools and outreach automation. We have written about it more than any tool in this series.
The short version: the advertised $39/mo plan ships zero AI credits (AI starts at $69/mo), its own support acknowledges its extension is treated by LinkedIn as an automation tool against the ToS, and its Trustpilot sits at 2.4/5 with billing complaints leading. The breadth is real; read our full audit before the trial.
11. Sociabble: if advocacy needs an intranet around it
The enterprise employee-experience platform: internal comms, intranet, knowledge base and advocacy in one, deployed at AXA and Coca-Cola CCEP, rated 4.7/5 across 390 G2 reviews. Custom pricing, demo-only, about three months to implement per G2's averages.
If your advocacy program needs frontline comms and TV screens, this is its category; our team mode only competes with its LinkedIn slice. Our full comparison.
And When MagicPost Is the Right Tool
One section, as promised. If LinkedIn is the network where your business happens, MagicPost is the LinkedIn-only premium solution, with everything below running through LinkedIn's official API as a verified application:
AI that learns your voice from your own account, plus a humanizer built on our research on 1.2M posts. Generic content reaches roughly 10-14% fewer people, and in 2026 templated AI phrasing started costing reach too: our study of 287,000 posts found the most templated posts now lose up to about 13% of their reach in French and 3% in English, which is exactly what the humanizer rewrites.
Market benchmarks and audience analysis, so you see where you stand against your own segment, not a vanity dashboard.
Engagement workflows and comment scheduling, working @mentions of people and companies in scheduled posts, and lead detection with CRM integrations.
Our Trustpilot stands at 4.7/5 across 91 reviews (the page is public, read it like we read everyone else's), and the trial is free, complete and card-free.
FAQ
What is the best MagicPost alternative?
It depends on what pulled you away. Zero AI: AuthoredUp. Human coaching: Kleo V3. Multi-network: Buffer (light), Agorapulse (suite) or Swello (French, best record). Budget breadth: SocialSonic. Enterprise advocacy platforms: Sociabble. Each entry above links our full audit with sources.
Why is MagicPost publishing a page about its own alternatives?
Because you searched for it, and someone will rank for this query; we would rather it be the honest version. We have audited every tool here on their own pages and public reviews, we tell you when each beats us, and we keep our pitch to one section. Judge the method by the receipts.
Is there a free alternative to MagicPost?
Buffer's free plan covers LinkedIn within 3 channels. MagicPost's own trial is free, complete and card-free, but a trial ends (plans from $35/mo, the AI plan at $69/mo); that is an honest difference.
What does MagicPost not do?
LinkedIn-only by design (no Instagram, TikTok or X), no live human coaching, no permanent free tier, and we are premium rather than cheapest. If any of those is decisive, the right tool for you is above, with our audit of it linked.
Is MagicPost better than Taplio?
We are the wrong referee, so here are the checkable facts: MagicPost runs on LinkedIn's official API as a verified application with a no-card trial and a 4.7/91 Trustpilot; Taplio's own support acknowledges its extension is treated by LinkedIn as an automation tool against the ToS, its AI starts on its $69/mo plan, and its Trustpilot is 2.4/13.
Both pages are public; our full audit links every source.
Should I use MagicPost with a multi-network tool?
Many users do exactly that: a generalist (Buffer's free plan is the cheapest version) for the broadcast networks, MagicPost for LinkedIn, where mentions, voice, benchmarks and leads need a specialist. We would rather tell you that than pretend we replace a multi-network stack; we do not.
