¿Qué son los visuales IA y los mockups IA?

In MagicPost, an AI visual is a single image created entirely by AI from your content, for example an infographic of one of your posts. An AI mockup is an AI visual that shows your content on a photographed real object, such as a notebook or a billboard. Both are included in Creator, Agency y Team. The Growth plan does not include them.

On the MagicPost Agency plan, a member on a specialized seat type (Growth, Analytics or Engagement) has no media generation, so no AI visuals or AI mockups. See Everything in the Agency plan.

MagicPost AI visuals are generated in the Visuals tab of the Media page, in the AI visuals segment of the visual wizard. AI mockups is one of the categories inside that segment, not a separate tool.

How an AI visual differs from a template visual

A MagicPost AI visual is a finished image. You cannot click into it to edit the text, move a block or change a font. To change an AI visual, you write a request and MagicPost generates a new version of the image.

A MagicPost visual built from a template works the other way: MagicPost fills a fixed layout and you edit everything by hand in an editor with a Copilot. An AI visual has no Copilot. See how to create a visual from a customizable template.

AI visuals are also different from AI photos, which show you in person. See how to generate AI photos of yourself. The MagicPost site presents all three on the LinkedIn visual generator page.

Generate an AI visual or an AI mockup

  1. In the MagicPost sidebar, open Media under Manage, then the Visuals tab.

  2. Click New visual, then Generate with AI. MagicPost opens the full-screen Generate a visual wizard.

  3. On the Source step, select one of your posts. Under Or start from…, you can open A topic, A URL or A file instead. Then click Choose a design.

  4. On the Design step, select the AI visuals segment and pick a design. The chips above the designs filter by category, including AI mockups.

  5. In the right panel, pick a Rendering style, then click Continue.

  6. On the Settings step, adjust what you need. Every setting is optional.

  7. Click Generate visual.

A source is required: the MagicPost wizard shows "Choose a source to generate" until you pick one. On the Design step, Help me choose asks MagicPost to suggest designs for your content.

Design and rendering style

A MagicPost AI visual is defined by two choices. The design decides how the content is arranged, for example a list, a comparison, a timeline or a mind map. The Rendering style decides how the image is drawn.

For a MagicPost AI mockup, the design is the photographed object, and the choices under Rendering style are scenes or supports for that object. Mockups of quotes, such as a billboard or a book page, are listed in the Quote category.

The Settings step

The Settings step of the MagicPost wizard is titled "Final adjustments". It contains:

  • Colors: the colors of one of your brand kit styles, or Custom colors for this image only. An AI mockup has no background color to set. See how to set up my brand kit.

  • Format: Vertical, Square or Horizontal. The size in pixels is shown under each choice.

  • Variants: how many images MagicPost generates from the same content. The step shows "1 variant = 1 credit".

  • My signature: your name and title, written by the AI inside the image. You can switch it off.

  • Instruction: an optional free text to steer the image. Click Add a guideline to open the field. It shows its character limit and keeps My previous instructions.

Some MagicPost designs add their own block, Settings specific to this design, for example the main sentence of a quote or the setting of a mockup.

While the image is generated

MagicPost generates AI visuals in the background. On the Generation step, Close and get notified closes the wizard while the generation continues. MagicPost tells you when the image is ready and keeps it in the Visuals tab.

When a variant fails, MagicPost gives its credit back and shows a message such as "1 variant didn't complete, your credit has been refunded". When the whole generation fails, the Generation step shows Retry.

When a generation takes longer than usual

A MagicPost AI image usually takes under a minute, and a requested change takes about as long. When a generation takes longer than usual (about two minutes for one image, one more minute for each additional variant), MagicPost shows "This is taking longer than usual. You can wait or cancel: images that aren't generated won't be deducted from your credits." with a Cancel button. The message appears on the Generation step of the wizard and in the AI image panel of the visual editor.

Clicking Cancel stops a MagicPost AI visual generation or a requested change. MagicPost then shows "Generation canceled". Images that were not generated are not deducted from your credits, and the images already generated in that run stay on the visual. You can generate again right away: when the canceled run produced no image, MagicPost shows Re-run.

Reloading the page or closing the wizard does not stop a MagicPost AI visual generation: the generation runs on MagicPost's servers, and the page picks it back up when you come back. Only Cancel stops it. When a generation still has no result after about 40 minutes, MagicPost stops it on its own and shows "Generation failed. Images that weren't generated haven't been deducted from your credits, you can try again."

Change, download and publish an AI visual

When the image is ready, the Generation step of the MagicPost wizard shows the variants. Click a variant to select it.

  • Request a change: type what to change, then click Edit the visual. MagicPost generates a new version and keeps the earlier ones. The step shows "1 credit per modification".

  • Download saves the selected image to your computer.

  • Add to a post attaches the selected image to a post. See how to add a carousel or visual to a LinkedIn post.

To come back to a MagicPost AI visual later, click it in the Visuals tab, then click Edit in its details. MagicPost reopens the wizard on that visual. From the Settings step, you can then generate more variants of the same visual.

Credits and limits

In MagicPost, each AI visual variant and each requested change uses one credit of your AI image allowance. AI visuals, AI mockups and AI photos share that allowance. The Settings step shows how many credits the generation will use. When your plan sets a cap, the wizard also shows a gauge.

The cap of each MagicPost plan, and the rules of the free trial, are in how many visuals and carousels can I generate. A single AI visual also has its own maximum number of images: beyond it, MagicPost shows "Image limit reached for this visual".

FAQ

Why can't I edit the text of an AI visual by hand?

A MagicPost AI visual is rendered as one finished image, so there is no text layer to edit. Use Request a change and describe the correction. To edit text by hand, build the visual from a template.

Why does MagicPost say AI-generated visuals are not yet available on my account?

Your account has no AI image allowance. MagicPost then shows "AI-generated visuals are not yet available on your account." in the AI visuals segment. This is the case on a free trial that includes no AI image. On a plan without media generation, MagicPost shows an upgrade window before the wizard opens.

Does requesting a change use a credit?

Yes. In MagicPost, each requested change on an AI visual generates a new image and uses one credit of the AI image allowance, like a variant. It does not use the Copilot edit allowance of carousels and template visuals.

An AI visual has been generating for several minutes. How do I stop it?

Click Cancel, which MagicPost shows next to the generation once it takes longer than usual (about two minutes for one image). Canceling stops the generation and frees the visual for a new one, and images that weren't generated are not deducted from your credits. Reloading the page does not stop a MagicPost AI visual generation. Before that point, MagicPost shows no stop button.

Is AI mockups a separate tool?

No. In MagicPost, AI mockups is a category of the AI visuals segment. You generate a mockup with the same wizard, the same settings and the same allowance as any other AI visual.

Why is the Generate button disabled on the Settings step?

The MagicPost wizard disables the button when no source is selected, when a generation is already running on this visual, or when your credits are used up. A running generation ends on its own, or with Cancel once MagicPost says it is taking longer than usual. When your credits are used up, MagicPost shows "Monthly credits exhausted" next to the button.

With the Your avatar rendering style, the button of the MagicPost wizard reads Add a photo until you add a profile photo, because the avatar uses your face.
