Personal branding is the topic everyone on LinkedIn sells and almost nobody escapes: we count 6,848 personal branding posts in the last 12 months in our dataset alone. Most of them vanish. The typical personal branding post earns 66 likes.

So who actually moves the needle when they talk about building a brand? At MagicPost, we took the 89 creators in our dataset who post about personal branding consistently (at least 10 such posts in the last 12 months, minimum 5,000 followers) and ranked them by median likes on their personal branding posts alone. Not their overall fame: what happens, today, when they hit publish on this specific topic. Number twenty earns 6 times the typical personal branding post. Number one earns 55 times it.

Two numbers you will not find anywhere else sit in each profile below: the share of feed (is personal branding their whole life or a guest appearance?) and the vs-overall figure: whether their personal branding posts earn more or less than their own usual median. The pattern is unusually clean here: almost nobody devotes their feed to the topic, and the ones who touch it rarely tend to win.

The full board first, then the countdown:

Top 20 LinkedIn creators on Personal Branding, ranked by real impact

TL;DR: We ranked the top 20 LinkedIn creators on Personal Branding by one number nobody else publishes: median likes on their personal branding posts alone, over 12 months and 89 creators. Justin Welsh leads with 3,602 median likes per personal branding post, 55x what the typical personal branding post earns (66 likes).

His median personal branding post earns 3,602 likes, 55 times the typical personal branding post on LinkedIn, with a 19% premium over his own overall median and a rising yearly trend (2,880 in 2024, 3,726 in 2026). This is his second solo crown in this series: he also leads our business development ranking.

"You have to be willing to disrupt the status quo to live a good life. And that means doing things that the average person doesn't do." His most liked personal branding post of the year: 6,428 likes. Read it

Where do these cards come from? Every figure on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics: median engagement per theme, share of feed, theme premiums, trajectories, across 89 personal branding creators and 6,848 personal branding posts. It works on your profile too, including a side-by-side with anyone on this list.

Just missed the cut

Five names land right behind. Nat Berman (#21, 359 median likes per personal branding post), Véronique Barrot (#22, 340) and Mando Sallavanti (#23, 320) miss the top 20 by a handful of likes of median. Then come two creators with the smallest audiences of this group: Celine Pfleiderer (#24, 314) and Nikita Singh (#25, 294), both under 20k followers, both carrying engagement rates above 15% that the raw-likes cut hides. Pfleiderer also runs the deepest focus of these five, with 24% of her feed on the topic. Post a little more, or grow the audience, and any of them enters the top 20 at the next quarterly refresh.

The efficiency champions (pound for pound)

Raw likes favor big audiences, so here is the other cut: engagement rate on personal branding posts, median likes divided by followers (minimum 20k followers). The list changes completely:

Wendt, Lindsey, Effer and Yockey are the four people who appear in both the absolute top 20 and this efficiency top 5.

The volume game (total personal branding engagement)

One more cut: not the typical post, but the total likes generated on personal branding posts over 12 months. This is where the high-frequency voices get their due:

Dr. Elizabeth Lindsey generates the most total engagement with 21 posts; Daniela Luque Díaz needs 103 to reach roughly half of it. The contrast is the whole point of this table: a focused 21-post year out-earns a 103-post one, because on this topic the median, not the frequency, is what compounds.

The conversation champion

The ratio of comments to likes, the cut nobody publishes. The personal branding record belongs to Nikolett Jaksa: 283 median comments against 275 median likes on her personal branding posts, just over one comment per like when the platform norm is closer to one per ten. A ghostwriter and coach for founders, she turns every post into a conversation rather than a broadcast.

The residents and the tourists

Of the 89 creators who post personal branding consistently, not one dedicates more than half their feed to it. That is the defining fact of this theme: it is something creators teach and sell, not something they fill their own feeds with. The highest share of the entire top 20 belongs to Amelia Sordell at 18%, and most of the board sits between 2% and 8%.

That structure produces the cleanest tourist premium in this series. The biggest gains belong to the people who touch the topic least: Lewis Howes (2% of his feed, +127%), Victor Wendt (8%, +105%) and Ryan Yockey (7%, +94%) all roughly double their usual median when they go personal, while the few high-share names earn closer to their own line. An audience that did not come for personal branding rewards the occasional personal post; a feed built around the topic competes with itself. If you write about it occasionally, you are playing the easier game.

Two related studies while you are here: who dominates LinkedIn country by country (United States, United Kingdom, the full series), and the country home pages of the names above, from Brazil to Australia and India. And if your plan includes showing up in these creators' comments, an engagement feed makes that a daily five-minute habit.

Study them, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can analyze any personal branding creator the way we just did (median engagement by theme, share of feed, premiums, trajectory) and benchmark your own profile. The data on this page is the product.

Where this data comes from

Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a copied list. MagicPost analyzed 6,848 personal-branding-themed LinkedIn posts from the last 12 months, kept the 89 creators with at least 10 personal branding posts and 5,000 followers (deleted posts excluded, company pages excluded), and ranked them by median likes on those posts. This is a smaller eligible pool than most themes in this series, because few creators publish about personal branding at volume; the ranking below the top 20 thins out quickly, so read the lower ranks as close calls rather than firm gaps. We also computed each creator's share of feed, their personal branding premium versus their own overall median, engagement rates and conversation ratios. Rankings refresh as the data does; figures dated June 2026. No one paid to be on this list, and no one can: it is arithmetic.

FAQ

Who is the top personal branding creator on LinkedIn in 2026?

By real impact (median likes on personal branding posts over the last 12 months), Justin Welsh: 3,602 median likes per personal branding post, 55 times the typical personal branding post on LinkedIn, on the topic that is his own product.

How is this ranking calculated?

Median likes on each creator's personal-branding-themed posts over the last 12 months, among the 89 creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 10 personal branding posts and 5,000 followers. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot, and only personal branding posts count, so general fame cannot either.

Does posting about personal branding boost engagement on LinkedIn?

Often, yes, but the effect is lopsided. The biggest premiums belong to creators who post about it rarely: Lewis Howes earns 127% more than his overall median, Victor Wendt 105%, Ryan Yockey 94%. Full-time personal branding voices earn closer to their own line. The typical personal branding post still earns just 66 likes: the topic rewards a clear personal story, not participation.

Who are the most efficient personal branding creators?

By engagement rate on personal branding posts (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Victor Wendt (1.27%), just ahead of Dr. Elizabeth Lindsey (1.21%), Victoria Effer (0.84%) and LuRae Lumpkin (0.81%).

Are the top personal branding voices full-time personal branding creators?

No, and that is the theme's signature. Not one of the 89 eligible creators dedicates more than half their feed to personal branding. The highest share in the top 20 is Amelia Sordell at 18%; most of the board posts about it between 2% and 8% of the time. It is a topic creators sell to others more than they publish for themselves.

Which countries dominate personal branding content on LinkedIn?

The top 20 leans to the United States, with the United Kingdom placing several names (Acosta, Sordell, Squibb, Collins) and single entries from Brazil (Wendt), Sweden (Larsson), India (Mishra, Shubhangi Madan Vatsa), Germany (Effer) and Australia (Denning). Country-by-country rankings are in our country series.
