Almost every "top LinkedIn creators in Australia" list is sorted by follower count. The flaw is easy to miss: followers tell you who an account reached at some point, not who it reaches today. The biggest name in this ranking carries 1.1 million followers, nearly double anyone else here, and it still only lands sixth.
So Australia gets sorted on a different number. At MagicPost, we took the 114 Australian creators in our dataset (every account past 5,000 followers and 30 posts in the last 12 months) and ranked them by median likes per post over the last 12 months: what really happens, today, the moment they hit publish. As a yardstick: the median Australian creator in this pool draws 40 likes per post. Number twenty here lands about 3 times that. Number one lands about 31 times that.
Every creator carries a data card (followers, engagement rate, preferred posting slot, themes, the multi-year path of their median likes), a short note on what the numbers reveal, and the post that earned them the most likes across the last 12 months (find more like these in MagicPost's post inspiration library).
The full board first, then the countdown:

TL;DR: We ranked the top 20 LinkedIn creators in Australia by what their posts actually earn: median likes over the last 12 months, across 114 creators. Liz Nova leads with 1,230 median likes per post, 31x the national median.

Where do these cards come from? Every figure on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics: median engagement, engagement rates, themes, trajectories and favorite slots, across 114 Australian creators. It works on your profile too, including a side-by-side with anyone on this list.
Which Australia creators have the highest engagement rate?
Since raw volume tilts toward big audiences, here is the cleaner read: engagement rate, median likes per post divided by followers (minimum 20k followers). The list changes completely:
Creator | Followers | Engagement rate | Median likes |
35k | 3.52% | 1,230 | |
97k | 0.62% | 600 | |
32k | 0.46% | 146 | |
21k | 0.38% | 80 | |
43k | 0.35% | 150 |
Liz Nova tops both cuts at once: she has the highest median likes in Australia and, among accounts over 20k followers, the highest engagement rate. For comparison, across the top 20 the engagement rate ranges from 3.70% (Victor Trieu) down to 0.03% (Alex Wang), a hundredfold spread: the most engaged audiences in Australia belong to small accounts, not famous ones.
Who gets the most comments per post in Australia?
One more cut nobody publishes: the ratio of comments to likes. The Australian record belongs to Ehsan Ali: 133 median comments against 137 median likes, nearly one comment per like, when the platform norm is closer to one comment per ten likes. It is the most conversational feed of the 114 we measured.
Where are the "LinkedIn creators"?
Notice who dominates this top 20: a faith author, a keynote speaker, a copywriter, leadership and IT advisors, a product designer, a driller. People whose subject is bigger than the platform. The Australian LinkedIn-native creators (the people who teach content, copywriting and growth on the platform itself) are almost absent; only Matt Lakajev crosses over, at #9.
That is not a knock on the native creators, just a sign they reward a different read: their strength is consistency, conversation engineering and selling, not raw reach. We covered them one data biography at a time in our creators series, including Matt Lakajev, the most prolific account on this whole page.
A timing note before you go. Thirteen of these twenty creators post in the evening, the reverse of what works for normal accounts, which favor weekday mornings. Once you already hold an audience, the clock starts to bend around you. Until you do, the safer play is to post ahead of the crowd, not against it.
And if showing up in these creators' comments is part of your plan, an engagement feed turns that into a daily five-minute habit.
Study them, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can analyze any Australian creator the way we just did (median engagement, engagement rate, themes, trajectory, slots) and benchmark your own profile against the country. The data on this page is the product.
Where this data comes from
Everything here is MagicPost's own research, not a copied list. We pulled the last 12 months of posts from 114 Australian creators, kept only accounts past 5,000 followers and 30 posts, dropped deleted posts, then ranked the rest by median likes per post.
For each one we worked out themes, yearly trajectories, writing fingerprints, engagement rates (median likes / followers) and conversation ratios. Australia is a smaller pool than the largest markets: 114 creators clear the floors, so the ranking shows everyone eligible rather than a trimmed shortlist. Rankings refresh as the data does; figures are dated June 2026.
No one paid to be on this list, and no one can. The order is arithmetic, nothing more.
FAQ
Who is the top LinkedIn creator in Australia in 2026?
By real impact (median likes per post over the last 12 months), Liz Nova: 1,230 median likes across 35k followers, and still rising (her 2026 median is 1,258). By raw audience size, Alex Wang (1.1M followers), who ranks sixth by impact.
How is this ranking calculated?
Median likes per post over the last 12 months, among the 114 Australian creators MagicPost analyzes with at least 5,000 followers and 30 recent posts. Median, not average, so one viral post cannot buy a spot.
Why is the biggest Australian account not number one?
Because followers measure accumulated audience, not current engagement. Alex Wang has nearly double the followers of anyone else here, but his engagement rate is 0.03% (median likes divided by followers); the top of this list runs far higher.
Who are the most efficient Australian creators?
By engagement rate (median likes / followers, minimum 20k followers): Liz Nova (3.52%), Tasleem Fateh (0.62%) and Lulu Godfrey (0.46%), all mid-sized accounts that out-convert the bigger names.
Are there any "LinkedIn creators" in the Australian top 20?
Almost none. The top tier belongs to a faith author, a keynote speaker, a copywriter, advisors and a designer. The only LinkedIn-native creator who crosses over is Matt Lakajev, at #9 with 206 median likes.
What is the best time to post on LinkedIn in Australia?
For most accounts, mornings on weekdays (the full LinkedIn timing data). Thirteen of this top 20 post in the evening instead, a luxury of already owning an audience.
