Pedro Pinto de Almeida has about 11,500 followers, a number plenty of LinkedIn coaches would call too small to study. Then you measure his feed and the math stops making sense: his median post earns 49 likes, yet his biggest posts of the last two years pull 1,900, 2,900, even 3,500. At MagicPost we analyzed 344 of his Portuguese-language LinkedIn posts (his full history back to 2024): what he writes, when, for whom, and why a social-impact founder from Porto lands posts that belong to someone ten times his size.

This is who he is, by the best possible source: his own posts, measured.

Pedro Pinto de Almeida: identity card with key LinkedIn numbers

His story, in his own posts

Pedro is Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Teach For Portugal, which places top graduates as mentors in the country's most underserved schools. His most personal posts tell that origin in a clear arc that starts with discomfort.

Angola was the why. His decision came from far outside a Porto office: "O 'porquê' veio de Angola. O 'como' veio dos anos no setor privado." ("The 'why' came from Angola. The 'how' came from the years in the private sector.") In a separate post he names the moment, a mother who lost her baby "Simplesmente porque não tinha ou não sabia como levá-lo ao hospital" ("Simply because she had no way to get him to the hospital"), and draws the mission from it: "Nascemos iguais, mas não com as mesmas oportunidades." ("We are born equal, but not with the same opportunities.")

The leap an engineer was told not to take. "I'm an engineer. 5 years ago, I moved into the social impact space." Everyone around him, he writes, "had opinions about what I should do. And that I should quit." He left ten years in the private sector regardless.

The 18 calls he never wanted to make. His sharpest recurring story is a failure, not a launch. "18 chamadas que eu nunca quis fazer." ("18 calls I never wanted to make.") In 2018, with 18 people recruited and funding not yet secured, he and co-founder Maria Azevedo phoned each one to say it was off. The funding came later; they launched in 2019. The same near-collapse surfaces in his English retrospective, where the first summer institute had "out of 18 people we really only had 5 places" until the last day delivered "places for 100% of us."

Fundraising as a school of rejection. On the doors slammed in his face, his framing is unusually un-heroic: "O 'não' não é um obstáculo. É um espelho." ("The 'no' is not an obstacle. It is a mirror.") That mirror is the key to his whole feed. Where most founders post wins, Pedro turns the lens on himself, and the data shows it is exactly what his audience rewards hardest.

What he actually talks about

What Pedro Pinto de Almeida talks about on LinkedIn, measured by topic

One theme owns his feed: education, about 218 of his posts at roughly 47 median likes. Leadership is a distant second (45 posts) but over-performs, at about 55 median likes, his strongest theme by engagement. Non-profit and coaching fill the rest.

Sorted by register, his largest single bucket is inspiring portraits (46 posts): stories of a mentor, a student, a teacher, told in the third person. Right behind it sit punchy advice (40) and positive messages (36), then personal reflection (32). He is not an opinion-merchant; he is a storyteller who keeps casting other people as the hero. And the posts that break out biggest are the ones where he casts himself as the problem.

Who he writes for

His readers are two groups, both addressed directly. The first is anyone tempted to leave a comfortable career for purpose: "Se queres mesmo resolver os problemas sociais mais complexos vais ter que competir pelo talento que o setor privado atrai." ("If you really want to solve the most complex social problems, you will have to compete for the talent the private sector attracts.") The second is parents and educators rethinking what school is for: "A nota que o teu filho tira diz pouco sobre o que ele vai ser na vida." ("The grade your child gets says little about who they will become.") The offer behind it all: partners and mentors for Teach For Portugal, asked for plainly.

His best posts of 2026

His three biggest posts of 2026 so far (click through to the originals):

Pedro Pinto de Almeida's top 2026 post: the invisible mental load at home

1,914 likes. A leadership post that starts in his own kitchen, after a weekend alone with his three kids: "Não chega valorizar as mulheres na empresa e depois chegar a casa tarde, quando tudo já está feito." ("It is not enough to value women at work and then get home late, when everything is already done.") He names the invisible mental load, then refuses the easy exit: "Não sou sempre o exemplo, e por isso este texto é também para mim." ("I am not always the example, which is why this text is also for me.")

Pedro Pinto de Almeida on privilege and opportunity

583 likes. A confession: "Fui um privilegiado." ("I was privileged.") He builds to the redefinition that powers his cause: "O privilégio não foi ir para a faculdade. Foi poder escolher." ("The privilege was not college. It was being able to choose.")

Pedro Pinto de Almeida on being publicly corrected

442 likes. The purest version of his signature: "Fui corrigido. E bem." ("I was corrected. And rightly so.") He admits to calling one school track "regular," sees the harm, and owns it. The reframe is his whole leadership thesis: "liderar mudança sistémica também é reaprender em público, sem vergonha" ("leading systemic change also means relearning in public").

Is he still growing?

Pedro Pinto de Almeida's median likes per post, year by year

His engagement is steady, not climbing. His median post sat at about 44 likes in 2024, rose to 53 in 2025, and is back near 44 in 2026 so far, while his volume roughly doubled from 93 posts in 2024 to 195 a year later. One honest note: we measure engagement per post, not followers over time, so this is the trajectory of how hard his posts land, not of his audience size. The real story is the variance: a creator who hovers around 45 likes and then, a few times a year, detonates a post past 1,500.

Where do these charts come from? Everything on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics, and it works on your profile too: your best posts, your audience, your benchmark, even a side-by-side with creators like Pedro.

He is not short on the page: at ~178 words he sits beside the 185-word average. What he does is break it small. His typical sentence runs seven words against the average ten, and his paragraphs nine words against thirteen, so most paragraphs are a single short line with air around them: "É o planear. É ter a cabeça sempre ligada." ("It is the planning. It is having your head always switched on.") He opens a quarter of his posts with a question (26%), far more than with a number (15%), and strips out the decoration: zero emojis, hashtags, or exclamation marks across hundreds of posts. When our system describes his style in one word, it says: punchy.

The "AI tells" in his style (read this the right way)

Run Pedro's writing through the patterns people now call "AI tells," and one device stands out while the rest stay quiet.

The AI-pattern fingerprint of Pedro Pinto de Almeida's style

His one characteristic move is the "It's not X, it's Y" contrast formula, in about a third of his posts, and it is genuinely his voice: "Não é só dividir tarefas. É iniciativa." ("It is not just splitting tasks. It is initiative.") About a quarter close on a question, and one in eight reach for a "the real problem is..." reveal. The "Here's how" opener barely registers.

Do not read this backwards. Pedro does not write like an AI; AI writes like creators such as him. These moves read as robotic today because the models trained on the platform's best writers and then stacked every device at once. Pedro reaches for the contrast formula when it carries a real point and skips the filler: he never opens a line with a transition word like "Moreover," and never bolts on an automatic P.S. The discipline, and that the contrast does emotional work rather than decoration, is the signature. (More: how to spot AI writing on LinkedIn.)

When he posts

Pedro publishes about 3.3 times a week, favorite slot Monday at 8 in the morning, with a striking 84% of his posts in the morning and only 6% on weekends: a disciplined start-of-week cadence. That sits in the calmer middle of what our posting-frequency study measured, and the early-morning slot lines up with our best-time-to-post data. His median post earns about 49 likes and a low 1 median comment. And if showing up in his comments is part of your playbook, that is what an engagement feed is for.

What to steal from Pedro Pinto de Almeida

  1. Cast yourself as the problem. His two biggest posts both end with him admitting he is part of what he criticizes. Self-implication earns trust that self-promotion cannot.

  2. Relearn in public. "Fui corrigido. E bem." turned a mistake into his clearest leadership post. The correction is the content.

  3. Make other people the hero. His largest register is portraits of mentors and students, not himself. The cause carries the story.

  4. Break the paragraph, not the word count. ~178 words, but seven-word sentences and nine-word paragraphs. Density, not length, is the style.

  5. One AI move, never six. A contrast formula where it lands, none of the filler. That restraint is the line between a voice and an AI tell.

Study him, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can dig into Pedro's numbers the way we just did, analyze your own LinkedIn analytics with the same depth, and write in the spirit of his style, in your own voice.

Where this data comes from

Everything here is MagicPost's own research: we analyzed 344 Pedro Pinto de Almeida posts back to 2024 for timing, engagement, topics, writing metrics, and the AI-pattern profile from a 30-post sample. Every biographical claim is quoted from one of his own public LinkedIn posts and linked to it. Pedro is not affiliated with MagicPost; his style is one of those we track closely.

FAQ

Who is Pedro Pinto de Almeida?

A Portuguese social entrepreneur in Porto, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Teach For Portugal, with about 11,500 LinkedIn followers. A former private-sector engineer, he writes in Portuguese about education, leadership, and building a social organization.

How does Pedro Pinto de Almeida make money?

He runs Teach For Portugal, the non-profit he co-founded; by his own posts, funding it means "a pressão de pagar 170 salários no final do mês" (the pressure of paying 170 salaries at month's end). He posts to build partnerships and recruit mentors, not to sell. We only state what his posts state.

How often does Pedro Pinto de Almeida post on LinkedIn?

About 3 times a week in our data, most often Monday at 8 in the morning, with 84% of his posts in the morning and only 6% on weekends.

Does Pedro Pinto de Almeida write with AI?

His fingerprint is light: his one characteristic device, the "It's not X, it's Y" contrast, appears in about a third of his posts and does real emotional work, while he never adds the usual filler. The patterns people call "AI tells" exist because models learned from creators like him, not the other way around.

Is Pedro Pinto de Almeida still growing?

His median post moved from about 44 likes in 2024 to 53 in 2025 and back near 44 in 2026, while his volume roughly doubled. We measure engagement per post, not follower count, so this reflects how hard his posts land.

Can I write like Pedro Pinto de Almeida?

You can learn the mechanics: MagicPost learns a creator's writing style (length, rhythm, hooks, signature moves) and helps you write in that spirit, in your own voice.
