How to publish on a company page

MagicPost can publish to a LinkedIn company page exactly as it publishes to a personal profile: scheduling, media, mentions, polls and scheduled comments all work the same way.

There is one thing to understand first, and it surprises people.

The page is chosen at connection, not per post

There is no "post as the page" toggle in the editor. The LinkedIn identity is attached to the seat: a seat is connected either to a personal profile *or* to one company page, and everything published from that seat goes out under that identity.

To publish to a page, you connect the page. To switch back, you reconnect your personal profile. There is no per-post choice.

This is why teams and agencies give the page its own seat (see How to manage your clients LinkedIn content on MagicPost?).

Connecting a company page

  1. Go to your account and start the LinkedIn connection.

  2. MagicPost asks What type of LinkedIn account do you want to connect?

  3. Choose Company page.

  4. Pick the page from the list.

You must be an administrator of the page on LinkedIn. MagicPost lists only the pages where LinkedIn says you have the admin role. If a page is missing from the list, that is the reason. Get the admin role on LinkedIn first, then reconnect.

If your organisation runs several pages, an org super-admin can send a member a connection link, and the same picker appears.

What works on a company page

Everything you would expect from the publishing side:

  • Text posts, images, videos, documents, carousels

  • Mentions of people and companies

  • Polls

  • Scheduling

  • Scheduled comments: they post as the page too

The publishing flow itself does not change: scheduling a LinkedIn post works the same whether the seat is a personal profile or a page.

What does not work: some of the metrics

This is a LinkedIn limitation, not a MagicPost one. LinkedIn does not expose the same data for pages as it does for people.

On a company page you will not see:

  • Saves

  • Profile clicks

  • Followers gained

  • Premium CTA clicks

You will see impressions, unique views, likes, comments, shares and link clicks. The four metrics above are hidden automatically on a page, and nothing is broken if they are absent. How can I analyze my LinkedIn metrics? covers the dashboard itself.

FAQ

Can I publish to my personal profile and my company page from the same seat?

No. One seat, one LinkedIn identity. Give the page its own seat to run both in parallel, which is what agencies and teams do.

Can two people manage the same page?

Not from one seat. Collaboration happens through your MagicPost organisation: shared calendar, client validation, and a super-admin who can drive a member's seat.

My page is not in the list.

You are not an administrator of it on LinkedIn. Fix the role on LinkedIn, then reconnect.

Does switching to a page affect my already-scheduled posts?

Reconnecting changes the author for everything published from that seat afterwards. Check your calendar before you switch.

Do I need a specific plan?

No specific plan. Publishing to a company page is included from Analytics, the entry plan, exactly as publishing to a personal profile is. Scheduled comments on a page are included from Analytics too.
