"Best time to post on LinkedIn" has a different answer depending on which day you are posting. So instead of one average, here is every day of the week with its own verdict and its own best window, from MagicPost's analysis of millions of posts.
Two notes before the breakdown:
Day scores (out of 100) measure reach: the share of 10,798 creators for whom that day was their single best day. Hours come from our engagement data and are quoted in US Eastern; the early-morning pattern holds across countries, but shift the clock to your audience's zone (exact hours per country: US, India, UK).
The full week at a glance, day by hour:

Monday (score: 95 out of 100)
The old advice says skip Monday. Our data disagrees: Monday is the second-best day of the week for reach, and it owns some of the strongest single slots anywhere in the data. Best window: 7am to 8am (8am Monday is one of the top slots of the entire week). People start the week scrolling before the meetings start. Post early, before the 9am rush.
Tuesday (score: 100, the best day)
The best day to post on LinkedIn, full stop: more creators peak on Tuesday than on any other day. By Tuesday, people have cleared the Monday pile and settled into work mode. Best window: 7am to 8am. If you only post once a week, this is the slot. (Full day ranking: the best day to post on LinkedIn.)
Wednesday (score: 91)
Solidly in the strong midweek block. Best window: 8am, which is Wednesday's standout hour and one of the week's best. Midweek audiences are the most "at work" of the week: useful, professional content lands especially well.
Thursday (score: 92)
Statistically a twin of Wednesday, slightly ahead. Best window: 7am to 8am, after which Thursday is remarkably flat: any working hour does about the same. A good day for your most substantial post of the week.
Friday (score: 77, post early or not at all)
Friday is two different days. The morning is a normal, decent weekday (in the UK, Friday 7am is actually a top-five slot of the week). From mid-afternoon, attention leaves for the weekend and the evening slots are among the worst of the week. Best window: 7am to 9am. Avoid: after about 3pm.
Saturday (score: 33, experiment territory)
Reach drops to about a third of a weekday. If you must post, late morning (10am to noon) is the least-bad window, and the audience skews toward fellow creators and job seekers. Treat Saturday as a place to test content, not to launch your best work. Saturday night is the single deadest slot we measured.
Sunday (score: 32, with one odd exception)
The weakest day for reach, with one honest quirk: Sunday 10am to 11am posts over-perform relative to their authors' averages in the US data, because almost nobody else is publishing. Small audience, low competition: an occasional personal or reflective post can do surprisingly well there. As a routine, though, Sunday stays the weakest choice.
The week, summed up
Day | Reach score | Best window (local morning) | Verdict |
Monday | 95 | 7 to 8am | Underrated, post early |
Tuesday | 100 | 7 to 8am | The safest pick |
Wednesday | 91 | 8am | Strong |
Thursday | 92 | 7 to 8am | Strong |
Friday | 77 | 7 to 9am | Morning only |
Saturday | 33 | 10am to noon | Experiments |
Sunday | 32 | 10 to 11am | Weakest, quirky |
The pattern behind all seven days is the same one we found everywhere: weekday beats weekend, and early morning beats the 9am crowd. The mechanics of why (and your country's exact hours) are in the full best-time guide.

Where this data comes from
Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a roundup of other people's studies. The day scores come from MagicPost's analysis of 831,350 posts from 10,798 creators (real impressions, local time); the per-day hours come from MagicPost's 2.6-million-post timing dataset, refreshed in May 2026. The same dataset powers the posting-time recommendations built into MagicPost.
Häufige Fragen

7am to 8am local time. Monday is the second-best day of the week in our data (95 out of 100), and its early-morning slots are among the strongest of the entire week.
Is Tuesday really the best day to post on LinkedIn?
Yes. Across 10,798 creators, more of them had their best reach on Tuesday than on any other day. Pair it with an early-morning slot for the safest combination.
What is the best time to post on a Friday?
The morning, 7am to 9am. Friday fades fast after lunch, and Friday evening is one of the worst times of the week.
