France is the country where posting time matters most clearly in all our data. At MagicPost, we analyzed 735,919 French posts (our largest single-country sample), and one finding jumps out: French LinkedIn runs on a near-ritual 8am publishing rush, and the best move is to post one hour before it.
Everything below is in Paris time (UTC+1, or UTC+2 in summer), one zone for the whole country.
The best hours to post on LinkedIn in France
Here is the French weekday, hour by hour, ranked:

The peak is 7am, and it is not close: it scores 70 against 57 for 8am and around 50 for the rest of the day. France is the most front-loaded market we measured. By mid-morning the game is over; afternoons are a flat plateau, and evenings sink.
So the rule for France: post at 7am on a weekday. It is the single clearest timing edge in any country we analyzed.
The five best weekday windows in France
The specific top slots make the 7am pattern almost comical:

Rank | Window (Paris time) | Score |
1 | Monday 7am | 85 |
2 | Monday 8am | 74 |
3 | Wednesday 7am | 71 |
4 | Tuesday 7am | 69 |
5 | Thursday 7am | 66 |
Four of the five best slots in France are 7am. Monday morning leads, and the rest of the early week follows. If you post once a day, make it 7am; if you post once a week, make it Monday 7am.
The 8am rush: France's biggest timing trap
This is the flagship finding of the French data. Watch what happens between 7am and 9am:

French posting volume explodes at 8am: about 138,000 weekday posts in our sample went out in that single hour, five times more than at 7am. Everyone schedules for 8am, just before the French workday starts. And precisely because everyone does it, 8am posts underperform 7am posts (57 versus 70), and by 9am the average post does no better than mid-afternoon.
The mechanics are the same as everywhere: LinkedIn gives your post a first audience, and early engagement decides its reach. At 8am in France you are one of thousands competing for the same morning scroll. At 7am you are nearly alone in front of the same waking audience. The crowd is your competition. Beat it by an hour.
The full week at a glance
The complete French picture, every day and hour, colored by how well posts perform:

The bright band is the weekday early morning, Monday above all. The weekend is quiet: Saturday is the weakest day in the French data, and while a Sunday 8am post can over-perform (few people post then, so the rare ones stand out against a small audience), it is a curiosity, not a strategy.
What about the best day in France?
Monday edges the French week, which fits the 7am story: the strongest single slot in the country is Monday 7am, catching people easing into the week before the inbox takes over. The cross-country pattern for reach leads with Tuesday and the early-week block; see the best day to post on LinkedIn.
Put together for France: Monday to Thursday, at 7am, Paris time.
What top French creators actually do
The French morning rule is visible in the habits of the country's biggest creators. We looked at the France-based creators whose writing styles people imitate most on MagicPost, across their last two years of posts:
Anthony Bourbon (581k followers) is the extreme case: 92% of his posts go out in the morning, most often at 9am, and almost never on a weekend.
Nina Ramen (133k) and Caroline Mignaux (174k) post most often at 8am; Amandine Bart (121k) at 9am.
The contrarians: Thibault Louis (134k) posts most often at 9pm, and Pauline Laigneau (205k) at 7pm. Proof that strong content can carve out an off-peak slot, when you bring your own audience to it.
Most of the French top posts exactly where the data says to: the morning. A few own the evening instead, which works precisely because so few try it.
Compare with other countries
The early-morning rule holds across markets, but the exact hour and the size of the edge shift:
The honest reminder, as always: this is correlation across a very large sample, not a guarantee. Timing tips the odds; the post itself does the winning.

Where this data comes from
Everything in this article is MagicPost's own research, not a roundup of other people's studies. MagicPost analyzed 735,919 French LinkedIn posts in Paris time (its largest single-country sample), compared each post to its author's usual engagement so big accounts do not skew the picture, and refreshed the numbers in May 2026. The creator habits come from MagicPost's tracking of top creators' public posts. The same dataset powers the posting-time recommendations built into MagicPost.
Häufige Fragen
What is the best time to post on LinkedIn in France?
7am Paris time, on a weekday. It is the clearest timing peak we measured in any country: 7am posts score 70 out of 100 against 57 for 8am and about 50 for the rest of the day.
Why is 8am a bad time to post in France?
Not bad, crowded. 8am is when French LinkedIn publishes en masse (five times the volume of 7am in our data), so every post fights thousands of others for the same morning readers. One hour earlier, the competition vanishes but the audience is waking up all the same.
What is the best day to post on LinkedIn in France?
Monday, and the early week in general. The single best slot in the French data is Monday 7am.
Does this apply outside Paris?
Yes. Metropolitan France is one time zone, so 7am applies nationwide. Only the UTC offset changes with daylight saving (UTC+1 in winter, UTC+2 in summer); the local clock time holds.
How was this measured?
We compared each post's likes to its own author's typical likes (so follower count does not distort it) across 735,919 French posts, scored every day-and-hour slot from 0 to 100 in Paris time, and refreshed the data in May 2026.
