Come posso effettuare l'upgrade del mio piano MagicPost?

You can upgrade a MagicPost plan at any time from the Billing page. An upgrade is a move to a higher plan, for example from Growth to Creator, or a switch from monthly to yearly billing on the same plan.

A MagicPost upgrade applies as soon as you pay. The amount is prorated, and MagicPost shows it before you confirm.

How to upgrade your MagicPost plan

  1. Open the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select Manage my subscription. On a free account the entry is called View plans, and on mobile it is called Plans.

  2. Pick the tab of the plan you want: Individuals for Growth and Creator, Agencies for Agency, Teams for Team.

  3. On the card of that plan, choose monthly or yearly billing with the Yearly switch. On Agency and Team, you also choose your seats on the card.

  4. Select the button on the card (Get pricing details by default). To move a Agency or Team subscription from monthly to yearly, the button is Switch to the annual plan.

  5. Check the Payment breakdown today. It ends with the amount Due now, after tax where it applies.

  6. Select Proceed to payment. MagicPost updates the subscription, which charges the payment method saved on it, and opens the Stripe invoice page. If the payment needs a confirmation or failed, you complete it on that page.

The lines of the MagicPost payment breakdown depend on the upgrade. When you change plan and keep the same billing frequency, it shows the new plan for the rest of the current period and the unused credit of your current plan.

When you switch a MagicPost subscription from monthly to yearly, the payment breakdown shows the subscription price and the Proration on current subscription.

On a free MagicPost account, the button on the plan card is Purchase plan by default. It opens the Stripe checkout page directly, with no proration to show.

What a MagicPost upgrade changes

  • The new MagicPost plan is active as soon as the payment goes through.

  • The amount due today takes into account what you already paid on your current subscription. The exact figure is only shown in the upgrade window, for your account.

  • If your subscription was canceled and still running, a paid upgrade removes the cancellation. The subscription renews again.

  • If a downgrade was scheduled for your next renewal, the upgrade removes it.

  • When you keep the same billing frequency, your renewal date does not change, and the upgrade window shows the price charged from that date. When you switch from monthly to yearly, the yearly period starts on the day you pay.

Current plans and prices are listed on the MagicPost pricing page and compared in What are the MagicPost plans and what is in them?

When you cannot upgrade by yourself

  • You are a member of an organization. MagicPost does not show the billing entry in your menu, because the subscription is managed from the account that pays for the organization.

  • Your organization has specialized seat types. MagicPost then refuses a change of plan or billing interval in self-service. Use Add or remove seats for your seats, and contact the team for the rest.

  • You want to move between Agency and Team. This switch is not self-service in MagicPost, and the card shows Talk to sales.

  • You need more seats than MagicPost sells online on the Agency or Team plan. The seat selector of the upgrade window has a last step that you cannot buy on your own: at that step, Book a call with sales replaces the payment button.

  • Your MagicPost account has two active subscriptions at the same time. MagicPost then refuses any purchase or plan change, and support has to sort the account out first.

Seats are explained in Everything in the Agency plan and Everything in the Team plan.

FAQ

When does a MagicPost upgrade take effect, and what do I pay?

The upgrade takes effect as soon as you pay, and you pay a prorated amount on the same day. MagicPost shows the full breakdown, including the amount Due now, before you select Proceed to payment.

Can I upgrade my MagicPost plan in the middle of a billing period?

Yes. You do not need to wait for your renewal date, for example to go from Growth to Creator. MagicPost charges the new plan for the rest of the current period, minus the unused credit of your current plan, and shows the result before you pay.

I canceled my MagicPost subscription, then upgraded. Is the cancellation still planned?

No. Paying for an upgrade removes the scheduled cancellation, and your subscription renews as usual. You can cancel again from the Billing page: see How to modify or cancel my subscription?

Is a downgrade also immediate?

No. A downgrade to a lower MagicPost plan, or a switch from yearly to monthly, is scheduled for your next renewal with no payment today. See Can I downgrade from an annual to a monthly subscription on MagicPost?
