Benoît Dubos is the CEO and co-founder of Scalezia, the French growth studio behind "900+ clients, 4,8/5 de satisfaction" (900+ clients, 4.8/5 satisfaction). With 133,600 followers, he is one of the most influential French voices on LinkedIn. At MagicPost, we analyzed 424 of his posts back to 2023: what he writes, when, for whom, what it earns him, and what makes his style worth studying.

One number jumps out, and he is the one who put it in public. His median engagement has fallen by a factor of four since 2023: from about 280 likes per post to roughly 65 today. Most creators would bury that. Dubos posted it as a headline, "effondrement durable de mon reach (÷4 vs. 2023)" (a lasting collapse of my reach, divided by four versus 2023), in the same breath as "mes posts LinkedIn ont généré 293 leads en mai. Mon record." (my LinkedIn posts generated 293 leads in May. My record.) Fewer likes, more business, is the whole story of how he writes now. This is who Benoît Dubos is, by the best possible source: his own posts, measured.

Benoît Dubos: identity card with key LinkedIn numbers

His story, in his own posts

Dubos retells his path freely, and the data shows which chapters he treats as load-bearing.

The failures came first. "J'ai planté mes 2 premiers projets de boîtes... Mon 1er client m'a lâché avec 3 mois d'impayés... j'ai fait plus d'erreurs que n'importe qui." (I crashed my first 2 company projects... My first client dropped me with 3 months unpaid... I made more mistakes than anyone.) In another telling he lists a clothing brand where "j'en ai vendu 3" (I sold 3 of them) and a micro-agency that nearly burned him out.

The start that changed everything. "Fin 2018, je me lançais sans aucun client, offre ni réseau. 6 mois plus tard, je signais 8 à 15 clients par mois." (End of 2018, I started with no client, offer or network. 6 months later, I was signing 8 to 15 clients a month.) The channel was LinkedIn, the method "50 à 70 envois par jour" (50 to 70 outreach messages a day), the mindset "j'ai accepté d'être médiocre" (I accepted being mediocre).

The recognition. "J'ai commencé le contenu sans rien attendre. Mais hier, on m'a remis un prix pour ça devant 300 personnes," (I started content expecting nothing. But yesterday, I was handed an award for it in front of 300 people,) he wrote, 1600+ posts later.

The honesty about the cost. "Je dis partout que je bosse <40h/semaine. Mais voilà ce que je n'ai jamais dit: Je n'ai pris que 9 petits jours de vacances en 2 ans... J'ai frôlé deux fois le burn-out," (I say everywhere that I work under 40h a week. But here is what I never said: I only took 9 days of holiday in 2 years... I brushed burnout twice,) before adding "Cette vie, je l'ai choisie." (This life, I chose it.)

One pattern our data surfaces that a regular bio never would: Dubos re-runs his best stories almost verbatim. That burnout confession exists in a near-identical second version months later. His "machine à souvenirs" reflection (no one will remember your revenue, only the moments) runs in late 2023 and again, expanded, in early 2024. The "fin 2018" origin story runs twice too. When a story lands, he reships it.

What he actually talks about

What Benoît Dubos talks about on LinkedIn, measured by topic

Entrepreneurship is his home base (about 148 posts), with Sales, Marketing and Content Marketing close behind. Two things matter more than that ranking:

  • His two best-performing topics are not his business topics. Social Media (about 237 median likes) and Wellness (about 184) outperform Entrepreneurship (about 158) and Sales (about 134). The posts that travel furthest are about how he lives and how the platform works, not selling growth services.

  • Sorted by register, his most common move is not advice, it is the lead magnet by comment: about 98 posts (a fifth of everything) are built to make you comment to receive a free resource. Add selling through value and webinar sign-ups, and much of his feed is engineered to convert, not just to be read.

Who he writes for

His reader is the B2B founder who wants results, not theory. His headline says it plainly: "On construit des machines à clients B2B qui génèrent (vraiment) du résultat" (We build B2B client machines that (really) generate results). He writes to the entrepreneur grinding on the wrong lever, "des entrepreneurs qui s'acharnent sur le mauvais levier pendant des mois" (his words) (entrepreneurs who grind on the wrong lever for months), addressed directly with "tu".

His best posts of 2026

His three biggest posts of 2026, from our data (click through to the originals):

Benoît Dubos's top 2026 post: a free strategy generator

702 likes. "On aurait pu vendre cet outil 600€/an. Mais on a choisi de te l'offrir." (We could have sold this tool for 600 euros a year. But we chose to give it to you.) A free diagnostic tool, a price anchor, and the signature mechanic: like, comment, add a teammate to receive it. 847 comments, more than its likes.

Benoît Dubos sharing 13 free Claude prompts

546 likes. "Ces 13 prompts Claude sont d'une violence sans nom." (These 13 Claude prompts are insanely powerful.) A free AI resource wrapped in a curiosity hook, again routed through comments: 592 of them, the real scoreboard now.

Benoît Dubos launching a free AI agent trained on his method

401 likes. "J'ai éduqué une IA sur TOUTE ma méthode de croissance. 100% gratuite." (I trained an AI on ALL my growth method. 100% free.) He turns "2,000+ posts LinkedIn" of back catalog into an interactive product, gated behind the same like-comment-add ritual.

Is he still growing?

Benoît Dubos's median likes per post, year by year

This is where Dubos is unusually honest, and where the data refuses to flatter. His median post earned about 280 likes in 2023, 213 in 2024, 92 in 2025, and roughly 65 in 2026: a steady four-fold decline in raw engagement. He named the cause himself: a platform where "les créateurs/twittos US sont arrivés en masse" (US creators arrived en masse) and "L'IA de traduction met toutes les langues en concurrence" (translation AI puts every language in competition). One honest note, the same we make for every creator: we measure engagement per post, not followers over time, and likes are not leads. By his account, the window that quartered his reach produced his best lead month ever.

Where do these charts come from? Everything on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics, and it works on your profile too: your best posts, your audience, your benchmark, even a side-by-side with creators like Dubos.

The headline is not length: at about 202 words he is a touch above average. It is structure and a number-first reflex. His paragraphs run 9 words, his sentences 8, both tighter than average, so the posts read as ladders of short, scannable lines. And 60% of his hooks open on a number or a list, nearly three times the typical creator's 22%. "13 prompts", "19 conseils", "293 leads en mai": the count is the hook. He uses almost no exclamation marks and only the occasional plant emoji (🌱🌳) as a signoff. Our system calls it structured.

The "AI tells" in his style (read this the right way)

Run Dubos's writing through the patterns people now call "AI tells," and familiar shapes appear:

The AI-pattern fingerprint of Benoît Dubos's style

Six in ten posts close with a P.S. style signoff, nearly half use the "It's not X, it's Y" contrast formula, four in ten open with a "here's how" bridge ("Voici comment 👇"), and a third lean on a generic advice frame.

Do not read it backwards. Dubos does not write like an AI; AI writes like Dubos. These moves read as robotic today because the models trained on the best operators on this platform, then stacked every device at once, in every post. Dubos uses the contrast and "here's how" bridge where they earn their place, on a real free resource with a real method behind it. The other half of his fingerprint is what AI cannot resist and he refuses: he almost never hedges (about 1 post in 30), bolts on a hollow transition, or fakes depth. The discipline is the signature. (Full story: how to spot AI writing on LinkedIn.)

When he posts

Dubos publishes about 4 times a week, favorite slot Wednesday around 9 AM Paris time, with 34% of posts in the morning and almost nothing on weekends (about 2%). That fits what our France timing data says about the mid-week morning window, and his pace sits in the sustainable middle of what our posting-frequency study measured. His comment counts now routinely beat his likes, the natural result of posts that ask for a reply, and if part of your playbook is showing up in his comments, that is exactly what an engagement feed is for: his posts, every day, without hunting the timeline.

What to steal from Benoît Dubos

  1. Lead with a number. 60% of his hooks open on a count or a list. The number does the work of a headline.

  2. Engineer the comment, not just the read. His top posts win on comments because they ask for one. A free resource gated behind a comment turns a post into a pipeline.

  3. Re-run what works. His burnout confession and "machine à souvenirs" reflection ran twice each, near-verbatim. Your best post is an asset, not a one-off.

  4. One strong device per post. The contrast formula or "here's how" bridge, used where it lands, never six stacked. That is the line between a signature and an AI tell.

  5. Be honest about the dip. Posting your reach collapse, then your lead record, builds more trust than pretending the line only goes up.

Study him, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can dig into Dubos's numbers the way we just did, analyze your own LinkedIn performance with the same depth, and write in the spirit of his style (72 people already do). The data on this page is the product.

Where this data comes from

Everything here is MagicPost's own research. MagicPost analyzed 424 of Benoît Dubos's posts back to 2023: timing, engagement, topics, writing metrics, and the AI-pattern profile from a 30-post sample. Every biographical claim is quoted from one of his own public LinkedIn posts and linked to it. Dubos is not affiliated with MagicPost; his style is one of those MagicPost tracks most closely.

Perguntas Frequentes

Who is Benoît Dubos?

The CEO and co-founder of Scalezia, a French B2B growth studio he reports at 900+ clients and a 4.8/5 satisfaction rating. He is one of the most followed French growth voices on LinkedIn, at about 133,600 followers, publishing since 2019.

How does Benoît Dubos make money?

By his own public account, through Scalezia: growth, sales and content services for B2B companies, plus a large body of free content (he cites "2,000+ posts LinkedIn" and "100+ podcasts") that feeds his pipeline. Many posts route readers to free tools in exchange for a comment.

How often does Benoît Dubos post on LinkedIn?

About 4 times a week in our data, most often around 9 AM Paris time, with Wednesday his most frequent day and almost nothing on weekends.

Does Benoît Dubos write with AI?

His style predates the AI era and reads intensely structured: number-led hooks, tight ladders of short lines, almost no hedging or filler. The twist is that AI tools learned from operators like him, which is why nearly half his posts contain the "It's not X, it's Y" pattern people now mislabel as an AI tell. He is also an open AI power user, posting about training an agent on his own method.

Is Benoît Dubos still growing on LinkedIn?

His median engagement per post has actually fallen about four-fold since 2023 (from ~280 to ~65 likes), a decline he attributes publicly to a more crowded, translation-driven platform. He reports his business results, lead generation in particular, kept climbing over the same period.

Can I write like Benoît Dubos?

You can learn the mechanics: MagicPost learns a creator's writing style (length, rhythm, number-led hooks, signature moves) and helps you write in that spirit, in your own voice.
