La generazione del post sembra bloccata: cosa controllare
A MagicPost generation that seems stuck is usually still working: the editor goes through several statuses before the first word appears, and the wait can be noticeably longer for a URL, a file or a web search. A real blockage is a status that stays for several minutes with no text and no error message. In that case, copy your topic, reload the page and generate again. MagicPost post generation is included in Creator, Agency e Team and in the free trial.
This MagicPost article covers the generation of a post's text. An AI visual, an AI mockup or a requested change on an AI visual is generated differently: it runs in the background, reloading the page does not stop it, and MagicPost shows a Cancel button when it takes longer than usual. See what are AI visuals and AI mockups.
What each status means
During a generation, the MagicPost editor shows a status line where the post will appear. These statuses are steps, not errors. For an overview of the MagicPost generator, see the AI LinkedIn post generator page of the MagicPost site.
Analyzing the provided information...: the generation has started and MagicPost is reading your source and settings. The MagicPost editor can also show Analyzing the file... at this step. Both statuses mean the same thing: the generation is running.
Analyzing the URL...: MagicPost is reading the page or the video behind the URL and extracting its content.
Searching the web for sources... and Checking the information...: the web search steps, when Web search is on.
Analyzing the profile's writing style... and Matching the writing style...: the steps of an active writing style.
Structuring your post..., Final checks... and Finalizing your post...: the AI model is preparing the post and has not written the first word yet.
The model is still thinking...: the AI model is taking longer than usual before the first word. The generation is still running.
Preparing content...: the last step before the text appears.
The Generate a post button of MagicPost changes at the same time: it reads Analyzing content..., Processing..., Checking... or Generating..., then shows a check mark when the post is complete. Once the text starts to appear in the editor, the generation is no longer waiting: it is writing.
How long a generation takes
MagicPost does not start writing instantly. The AI model thinks before the first word, sometimes for a few seconds and sometimes for much longer, and the editor moves through the statuses above during that time. Three things add to the wait:
A URL: the page or the video has to be read first.
A file: MagicPost uploads and reads the file before the editor opens, and the Generate a post button shows a loader during that time. A long PDF, an audio file or a video takes longer than a topic.
Web search: the search and the fact check run before the post is written.
A slow MagicPost generation normally ends with text in the editor or with an error message. A status that stays on screen for several minutes with neither is a stuck generation.
What to do when a generation is stuck
Copy your topic, or note the URL or the file you used. The MagicPost generator form is not saved: reloading the page empties the topic field and puts the source back on Topic.
Reload the page.
Open Posts in the Manage group of the sidebar. If the generation finished while the page was frozen, the post is already there.
If the post is not there, go back to the Generator tab, paste your topic and click Generate a post again.
After a reload, a file has to be selected again in the MagicPost generator. The Recent button only lists files that already produced a post, so a file whose first generation failed has to be uploaded again.
Error messages and what they mean
MagicPost shows generation errors in red under the Generate a post button. A missing field is handled earlier: when the topic, the URL, the file or the template is missing, MagicPost shows a notification such as Add a topic to start generating. and does not start the generation.
Connection error. Please check your internet connection. or Unable to connect after several attempts. Please check your connection.: your browser could not reach MagicPost. Check your network, then generate again.
The connection was interrupted. Try again.: the link dropped during the generation. For some connection losses, MagicPost first tries to recover the post and shows this message only if it cannot. For the others, the message appears right away.
The connection is taking too long. Try again.: MagicPost did not answer in time. Generate again.
The extracted content is insufficient., with an Insufficient content notice: the file did not give enough to write from. See how to generate a post from a file.
A message saying that the URL or the file could not be read: MagicPost could not extract the content. Try another URL or file, or paste the key points in the Topic source.
Fill in all fields.: the source looked filled in but is empty, for example a topic made only of spaces.
An unexpected error has occurred. or a message asking you to try again later: the generation failed on the MagicPost side. Generate again, and contact support if it keeps failing.
What is not a stuck generation
In these cases MagicPost does not start the generation at all. Reloading the page changes nothing, because the account cannot generate a post at that moment.
A free trial already used. When MagicPost has flagged a free account as a second account of someone who already had a free trial, clicking Generate a post opens a Free trial already used window.
A seat without AI generation. In a MagicPost organization, a member whose seat type does not include AI generation cannot generate posts. A member with a Growth seat sees a Creator Plan required banner on the Generator tab and a lock on Generate a post, as on the Growth plan. A member with an Analytics or Engagement seat has no New post entry in the sidebar. Only an administrator of the organization can change a seat type. See how to manage seats.
The Growth plan. The Generator tab shows a Creator Plan required banner and Generate a post carries a lock. Post generation is included in Creator, Agency e Team.
A free trial that has ended. Generate a post carries a lock and opens a Your free trial has ended window.
No posts left. MagicPost shows You have used all your free posts, or a message saying that the limit of your plan is reached.
LinkedIn not connected, on a free account. After your first post or first few posts, depending on your country, MagicPost asks you to connect your LinkedIn account before generating more.
Leaving the page is not a blockage either. If you click another page during a generation, MagicPost opens a Generation in progress window: Stay keeps the generation on screen, and Leave may lose the content being written.
FAQ
The editor has shown "The model is still thinking..." for a while. Is it stuck?
No, not at first. This MagicPost status means the AI model has not written the first word yet and that the generation is still running. Wait for the text or for an error message. If neither arrives after several minutes, copy your topic, reload the page and generate again.
Do I lose a post from my allowance when a generation fails?
No, not when the generation fails on the MagicPost side. MagicPost counts the post when the generation starts and gives it back when the generation fails. A generation that finished while you were reloading the page is different: the post exists in Posts, so it counts.
The generation finished but the editor is empty. Where is my post?
Open Posts in the Manage group of the MagicPost sidebar. A post whose generation finished is saved to your account, even when its text did not reach the editor because you left or reloaded the page. See how to manage your posts.
Does a disconnected LinkedIn account block generation?
Not on a paid plan or in an organization: generating a post in MagicPost does not use your LinkedIn connection, which is needed to publish. On a free account, MagicPost asks you to connect LinkedIn after your first post or first few posts, depending on your country. See how to renew your LinkedIn connection.
The generation keeps failing after several tries. What should I do?
Contact MagicPost support through the in-app chat. Give the source you used (topic, URL or file name) and the time of the failure, so that the team can find the generation.
