Most LinkedIn advice tells you to open with a story. Pierre Herubel opens with a number. At MagicPost, we analyzed 507 of his LinkedIn posts, and 56% of his hooks are built on a number, against 22% for the average creator we measured. That is more than two and a half times the norm, and it is the single most distinctive thing about how this B2B marketer writes. "21 B2B Marketing Tactics for 2024." "5 pillars." "9 years." The number is the hook, every time.

He is French, he writes in English, he runs his one-person business from Bangkok, and he built it almost entirely on visual content. This is who Pierre Herubel is, according to the best possible source: his own posts, measured.

Pierre Herubel: identity card with key LinkedIn numbers

His story, in his own posts

Herubel is unusually transparent about his own path, and the data shows which chapters he keeps coming back to.

The pre-LinkedIn life. His timeline is specific: "In November 2016, I arrived in Thailand to become a communication officer for the French Embassy," then "In 2018, I almost continued my career in diplomacy but decided to join an agency as a partner instead." He nearly became a diplomat: "I really loved diplomacy, politics, and cultures... So instead of moving forward, I did a 180° turn."

The agency and the exit. "In 2021, I co-founded a go-to market agency. We bootstrapped it to 7 figures in revenue and over 70 clients," he writes, before the turn that defines his brand: "In September 2023 we decided to sell the agency. I then became a Solopreneur and niched down from GTM to content marketing."

The slow LinkedIn climb. This is the chapter he tells most often, and always the same way: it was hard and slow. "My posts were not good, but I kept trying," he recalls of 2022. The turning point is a single month: "It finally took off when I leaned into my style 100%," which his other posts pin to June 2023, when he "started adding infographics". The visual format is his stated unfair advantage.

The one-person business. He is precise about the model: "Started with $0 investment... Work from home, travel 4 months per year... Not overly complex (and 80% margin)." His philosophy is the anti-startup one: "You don't need to sacrifice your life for 'growth at all cost'."

One pattern our data surfaces that a normal bio would miss: his backstory is not one post, it is a format he re-runs at every milestone. "I crossed 70,000 followers this week" with a two-year backstory, then "I crossed 130,000 followers this week" with the same arc, then the eight-year version. One opener, "I've been a marketer for 9 years," appears word for word in late 2025 and again, nearly verbatim, in mid-2026. When a story works for him, he keeps it in rotation.

What he actually talks about

What Pierre Herubel talks about on LinkedIn, measured by topic

No surprise at the top: content marketing and marketing strategy own his feed. But the more interesting detail is which topic over-performs. His pure "Marketing" posts pull a median of about 539 likes, well above his content-marketing posts (about 423) and his overall median. When he zooms out from tactics to the broader strategy, his audience leans in hardest. Entrepreneurship, by contrast, under-performs (about 311).

Sorted by register rather than topic, the split is striking: roughly two posts in three sell something through value. His single biggest category is value-led selling, far ahead of standalone punchy advice. Like the best B2B creators, he sells almost constantly, but wraps the offer inside a usable framework, so it never reads as a pitch.

Who he writes for

His reader is explicit and recurring: the founder who wants leads now and the marketer who has to deliver them. His top post literally stages the conversation: "Founder: 'We need leads NOW!' Me: 'Yes, but don't forget THIS principle'." He writes for the B2B operator who is tempted by shiny tactics and needs to be talked back to fundamentals: "the real winners of 2026 will focus on... marketing foundations." The offers match: a content course, power-hour calls, consulting, all aimed at early-stage B2B businesses.

1,320 likes. A clean either/or frame ("Option 1... Option 2...") that forces the reader to pick a side, then resolves into his core thesis: foundations over hacks. Number in line one, structure all the way down.

Pierre Herubel on the B2B marketing playbook shift

1,208 likes. "The B2B Marketing playbook changed a lot in 3 years. Here are the 3 biggest tactical shifts." A before/after table of how marketing works now, which is catnip for an audience that fears being left behind.

Pierre Herubel on sales and marketing misalignment

1,005 likes. "I've been a marketer for 9 years. Here's the biggest misalignment I've seen." His signature number-hook, a named problem, three solutions, and a closing question to pull comments. The mechanics are the message.

Is he still growing?

Pierre Herubel's median likes per post, year by year

Here is where the honesty note matters most. His follower count keeps climbing (past 171,000), but his median likes per post have fallen each year: about 447 in 2024, 394 in 2025, and 225 so far in 2026. That is not a failure story, it is the most common shape on LinkedIn right now: a bigger audience, a tougher feed, and engagement that no longer scales one-to-one with followers. One honest caveat about our chart: we measure engagement per post, not followers over time, so this is the trajectory of how hard each post hits, not of his reach. His biggest single hits (the "Iceberg of Marketing" post crossed 9,800 likes in 2025) still land, but the typical post earns less attention than it did two years ago.

Where do these charts come from? Everything on this page runs on MagicPost's LinkedIn analytics, and it works on your profile too: your best posts, your audience, your benchmark, even a side-by-side with creators like Pierre Herubel.

Read the numbers carefully, because the obvious story (he writes short) is the wrong one. At 187 words he is exactly average length, and his sentences run a normal ten words. What sets his style apart is two things the table makes plain. First, the number-led hook: at 56% he doubles the field, and it is the load-bearing move in nearly every post. Second, the clean surface: zero emojis, zero exclamation marks, zero bold, broken into tight nine-word paragraphs. He does not win on brevity, he wins on structure: a number up top, then a scannable ladder of short paragraphs and dash-led lists. When our system describes his style in one word, it says: structured.

The "AI tells" in his style (read this the right way)

Run Herubel's writing through the patterns people now call "AI tells," and the result is instructive:

The AI-pattern fingerprint of Pierre Herubel's style

Three in five of his posts open with a "Here's how / here's the..." setup, and a third lean on a generic advice frame. About a quarter use the "It's not X, it's Y" contrast move.

Do not read it backwards. Herubel does not write like an AI; AI writes like Herubel. These openers read as robotic today because the models trained on the best educational creators on this platform, Herubel among them, and then stacked all of their moves into every paragraph at once. He uses the "here's how" setup as a genuine promise of a useful breakdown, and then delivers the breakdown. And the other half of his fingerprint is exactly the discipline AI lacks: he never hedges ("it's worth noting that..."), and he never opens a line with a filler transition like "Moreover." The restraint is the signature. (Full story: how to spot AI writing on LinkedIn.)

When he posts

Herubel publishes about 5 times a week, favorite day Monday, with 60% of his posts going out in the morning and only 12% on weekends. His preferred slot is around 9 in the morning, and his pace sits comfortably inside the daily-but-not-frantic band that our posting-frequency study finds works best for most creators (general timing guidance lives in our best-time guide). His own backstory is the warning against starting at this pace cold: it took him roughly two years of near-daily posting through low engagement before it compounded. And if part of your own playbook is showing up in his comments to learn the mechanics, that is exactly what an engagement feed is for: his posts, every day, without hunting the timeline.

What to steal from Pierre Herubel

  1. Lead with a number. 56% of his hooks do, against 22% for the field. A number promises structure, scope, and a payoff, which is why "21 tactics" outpulls "some thoughts on tactics."

  2. Pick one visual differentiator and own it. His career changed the month he added infographics. The format, not just the words, became his unfair advantage.

  3. Re-run your origin story at every milestone. He retells the same arc at 70k, 130k, and again as "9 years." A good story is an asset you reuse, not a one-off.

  4. Sell through the framework. Two posts in three sell something, yet none reads as a pitch, because the offer is wrapped in a usable model.

  5. One clean move per post. A number-hook and a tidy ladder of short paragraphs, never six patterns stacked. That restraint is the difference between a signature and an AI tell.

Study him, then study yourself. With MagicPost you can dig into Pierre Herubel's numbers the way we just did, analyze your own LinkedIn analytics with the same depth, and write in the spirit of his style (33 people already do). The data on this page is the product.

Perguntas Frequentes

Who is Pierre Herubel?

A French B2B marketer based in Bangkok, Thailand, who co-founded and bootstrapped a go-to-market agency to seven figures, sold it in 2023, and now runs a one-person content-marketing business. He has about 171,000 LinkedIn followers and describes his mission as helping "B2B businesses get clients with content."

How does Pierre Herubel make money?

By his own public account: a content-marketing course, a paid Substack newsletter, power-hour consulting calls, and one-to-one content strategy consulting, run as a solo business he reports at around 80% margin with no outside investment.

How often does Pierre Herubel post on LinkedIn?

About 5 posts a week in our data, most often on Mondays and in the morning (around 9am), with only 12% of his posts on weekends.

Does Pierre Herubel write with AI?

His style is built on number-led hooks and a clean, structured surface (no emojis, no exclamation marks, no hedging). The twist is that AI tools learned from educational creators like him, which is why three in five of his posts use the "here's how" opener that people now mislabel as an AI tell.

Is Pierre Herubel still growing on LinkedIn?

His follower count keeps rising past 171,000, but his median likes per post have eased from about 447 in 2024 to 225 so far in 2026, the common pattern of a bigger audience meeting a tougher feed.

Can I write like Pierre Herubel?

You can learn the mechanics: MagicPost learns a creator's writing style (length, rhythm, hooks, signature moves) and helps you write in that spirit, in your own voice and on your own stories.
