How to generate a post?
From a draft or a topic
LinkedIn post generation is MagicPost's core feature. We've developed a top-quality generator that replicates each creator's unique writing style, minimizing repetitive “AI” language. Our advanced algorithm filters out anything that sounds overly automated, focusing instead on the subtle, trending nuances of LinkedIn content creation.
To generate a post, go to “Generator” from the sidebar and follow these steps:
1️⃣ Click on the gear icon ⚙️ to set your default parameters.
This step is essential, particularly for selecting the tone of voice—whether you want the post to be formal or informal, depending on your chosen language. It also lets you confirm that the post’s language matches your preference, which may differ from the language setting of your MagicPost account.
2️⃣ Add your topic or short draft and select the type of content and post category.
We recommend starting with a brief draft, from a few words to 4-5 sentences at most.
💡 For best results, consider adding:
The number of points, steps, or tips you’d like included
A few words on your perspective or opinion on the topic
The main theme of the post and its intended audience
An anecdote or personal story
However, even with minimal input, MagicPost can still generate a high-quality post tailored to your needs. And it's starts with choosing the right content type and category.
Here's how to do it 👇
First, think about your subject. Is it actionable or introspective? Do you want to inspire or promote something? Keep this objective in mind to choose the perfect type of post.
We're going to take this example:
For this theme we could choose several types of post. For this example, we'll choose “Actionable”.
Once this is done, several categories specific to the post type will appear. Here we'll choose “Striking advice”.
For your information, here is an overview of some of the post types and categories available:

Here is the final result:
From a URL
Who wouldn’t love to transform a lengthy blog post or YouTube video into a perfectly structured LinkedIn post with just a few clicks? Well, now you can!
This feature allows you to repurpose your existing content seamlessly into LinkedIn posts. Plus, you can use any blog articles or YouTube videos that catch your interest to create compelling content—even on topics you're not fully familiar with.
To generate a post from a URL:
Go to “Generator”
Paste the URL of a YouTube video or blog article
And select the desired post category
The content will automatically be transformed into a post.
💡 Note that the analysis process for a video may take several seconds.
From a template
To use a template, go to “Generator” from the sidebar and follow these steps:
1. Choose the template that suits you or create one.
2. Fill in the “topic or draft” field.
3. Choose the similarity (close or very close to the template).
4. Don’t forget to check or modify the default settings if needed from the ⚙️ icon.
5. And that’s it!
Your post will be generated instantly.
Optional: Add specific instructions, a signature, or a hook.
To take customization even further, we've added 3 new features.
1️⃣ Specifics instructions
Specific instructions allow you to add an additional rule, such as “maximum 500 characters”, for example. But it also gives you the possibility of directing post generation towards a specific target for your business, such as “Address this post to HR in the banking sector”.
2️⃣ Signature
Adding a signature means you don't have to rewrite it every time. For example, you could add a permanent CTA to your appointment calendar or product landing page.
3️⃣ Hook
This ensures that the hook you wrote is used for your post, rather than letting the AI generate one on its own.
