Cómo configurar tu organización en MagicPost
When you subscribe to the MagicPost Team or Agency plan, MagicPost creates an organization for you. Before you reach the app, MagicPost asks you to name the organization and to choose whether your own account takes a seat. The other settings, such as the logo and the views shown in the admin view, are on the Settings page, under Manage in the admin view.
Not every administrator of a MagicPost organization can change its settings. In a team organization, every administrator can. In an agency organization, only the owner and Super admins can: a Manager or an Account manager does not see Settings. The person who subscribes is the organization owner. For what each plan includes, see everything in the Team plan and everything in the Agency plan.
The first screen after you subscribe
After the payment, MagicPost shows Choose a name for your organization instead of the app. Enter a name, for example your company or your department.
Leave Count my account as a seat on if you will use MagicPost for your own posts. Turn it off if your account only manages the organization.
Click Create organization. MagicPost opens the member list of the admin view.
MagicPost does not accept a very short organization name. The screen says These options can be changed later: the name is changed on the Settings page, and the seat of the owner from the member list.
The Back button of this MagicPost screen skips the setup and opens the app. The organization still has no name, so MagicPost shows the same screen again the next time the app loads.
Team organization or agency organization
MagicPost sets the type of your organization from your plan. The Agency plan creates an agency organization, and the Team plan creates a team organization. You do not choose the type, and the organization settings have no switch to change it.
The type changes a few things in MagicPost. An agency organization lists Accounts, turns on Client workspace by default for each account you add, and has three administrator levels: Super admin, Manager and Account manager. A team organization lists Members, gives every administrator the same rights, and has AI guidelines, a team brand kit and a media value in its settings. See the admin view.
Should your own account take a seat?
With a seat, the owner of a MagicPost organization uses MagicPost like any member: posts, calendar, metrics. Without a seat, the owner's account only manages the organization. An owner without a seat lands in the admin view and has no user view.
The owner can change this later in MagicPost. In the member list, open the three-dot menu of your own row and switch Use a seat. Only the owner sees this switch, and only on their own row. The switch is disabled when no seat is free.
MagicPost limits how often an owner can take a seat back. After a recent change, MagicPost answers Change unavailable and asks you to wait or to contact support.
How to change the name, the logo and the views
In the MagicPost sidebar, click Admin view.
Under Manage, click Settings.
Pick a tab and change what you need. The name, the logo, the color and the switches save on their own: there is no Save button for them.
On the MagicPost Settings page, a very short organization name is never saved, and MagicPost shows no message: the previous name stays.
In a team organization, the MagicPost Settings page has these tabs:
Preferences: Name and logo, then the switches Show the Leads view, Show the Templates view, Show groups and Show the member switcher. The last one lets administrators switch to a member's account from the sidebar. With it off, Log in to the account in the member list still opens a member's account.
AI guidelines: brand guidelines that MagicPost adds to the AI generations of the members you choose. A member sees them as Brand guidelines in the generator: see how to use specific instructions.
Brand kit: the team brand kit, offered first to every member for carousels and visuals. Members keep their own photo, name and logo.
Media value: a reference CPM that shows on the Metrics page what your impressions would have cost as LinkedIn ads. Leave the field empty to hide it. This tab has its own Save button.
API & MCP: the MagicPost API keys of the administrator who is logged in, the same list as the API & MCP tab of their account. MagicPost does not show this tab to an administrator whose seat does not include API keys. See how to create an API key.
In an agency organization, the MagicPost Settings page has two categories:
Client space: Identity (Name and logo, and the Color used for your clients' workspace), Modules (the default modules of the client space and the default link type for each new account) and Custom domain (your clients open their space on your domain, and their emails come from your address).
Preferences: New accounts, with Client space enabled by default for each new account, and Display, with Show the Leads view, Show the Templates view, Show groups and Show admins in the switcher. The last one lists the administrator accounts in the account switcher of the sidebar. Preferences also has an API & MCP tab: the MagicPost API keys of the administrator who is logged in, the same list as the API & MCP tab of their account. MagicPost does not show this tab to an administrator whose seat does not include API keys. See how to create an API key.
In a MagicPost agency organization, a client link sent before the agency's custom domain was live keeps working, with the rights it already had, but it opens the client space on app.magicpost.in, not on your domain. Once the domain is live, the links you copy from MagicPost use your domain: copy the client's link again with Share client space and send it, so the client opens their space on your domain.
The logo of a MagicPost organization appears next to its name at the top of the Members page (Accounts in an agency organization).
In a MagicPost agency organization, the client space your clients open by link shows the logo of the agency, its name under Managed by, and the agency color. In a team organization, a calendar shared by link shows neither the logo nor the name of the organization.
A display switch of the MagicPost organization settings shows or hides a view. It does not give a member access to a feature that their seat or their plan does not include.
A new MagicPost organization starts with Show the Leads view off and Show groups on. Show the Templates view starts on in a team organization and off in an agency organization. Show the member switcher starts on in a team organization. In an agency organization, Show admins in the switcher starts off and Client space enabled by default for each new account starts on.
The Leads entry of the MagicPost admin view shows the leads of all members together in a team organization, and the leads of one account or one group at a time in an agency organization. See how to use Leads as a team.
How to create groups of members
A group in MagicPost is a label on members, such as a department or a client portfolio. In the member list, click the Group cell of a row, then Manage groups. In that window, you create a group with a name, a color and Create, and you rename a group, change its color or delete it. Create a group is also offered in the Group setting when you add a member.
Only the MagicPost administrators who see Settings create and manage groups: every administrator in a team organization, the owner and Super admins in an agency organization. With Show groups off, MagicPost hides the groups from the organization pages.
A member of a MagicPost organization belongs to one group at most. Deleting a group does not remove its members from the organization. Groups then filter the member list, the Metrics page, the Activity page in a team organization, the organization calendar and the reports.

FAQ
I closed the first screen with Back. How do I name my organization?
Reload MagicPost. As long as the organization has no name, MagicPost shows Choose a name for your organization again when the app loads. The Admin view button only appears in the sidebar once the organization has a name.
Can I turn a team organization into an agency organization?
Not from the MagicPost settings. The type of an organization follows the plan you subscribed to. Contact the MagicPost team if your organization has the wrong type.
I subscribed again after canceling. Do I get my organization back?
Yes. If your former members no longer fit in the seats of your new subscription, MagicPost shows a recovery screen. You select the Members to keep and click Confirm and activate the organization. MagicPost removes the members you did not select from the organization.
Why do I not see Settings in the admin view?
MagicPost only shows Settings to the administrators who can manage the organization. In a team organization, that is every administrator. In an agency organization, that is the owner and Super admins: a Manager or an Account manager who opens the settings link lands on Accounts. Ask the owner or a Super admin to change your level.
Where is the gear icon of the organization pages?
MagicPost no longer has a gear icon on the organization pages. The organization settings moved to the Settings entry, at the bottom of the Manage group of the admin view.
