What is a LinkedIn MCP server?
A LinkedIn MCP server connects an AI assistant to LinkedIn workflows through the Model Context Protocol: analytics, writing, scheduling, team management. MagicPost MCP is the version built on your MagicPost account, with 29 tools and your permissions enforced on every call.
Is the MagicPost LinkedIn MCP server official?
Yes. MagicPost is a LinkedIn verified partner and hosts its own MCP server at mcp.magicpost.in/mcp: 29 tools in 7 families, covering writing, scheduling, analytics and leads, with nothing to self-host. Publishing your posts and reading your own post analytics go through the official LinkedIn API, with OAuth and official endpoints.
Can Claude post on LinkedIn?
Yes, once you connect Claude to MagicPost. Claude can create or update a draft, attach an image, a video or a PDF, schedule it for a given time or publish it right away, and cancel a scheduled post. Everything stays visible in your MagicPost calendar, and the same works with ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity.
Does it read LinkedIn profiles or job listings?
No. The MagicPost MCP server has no profile search for prospecting, no company pages and no job listings, and it never uses a LinkedIn session cookie. It works inside your own account: your posts, your metrics, your drafts, your team and the people who engage with your posts. The only outside profiles it reads are the creators you import yourself as a writing style, plus the public posts of the MagicPost inspiration catalog.
Do I need to code to install it?
No. On OAuth-compatible clients, add the MagicPost connector and authorize access. Other MCP clients can use the server URL and a key created in API & MCP settings.
Which plan do I need?
API and MCP access is included in the Creator plan and above, and during an active trial. Members of an organization get it with their seat, without a personal plan. The 7 Leads tools follow the same rule.
