August 2026, published on September 8, 2026
Sample
22,064 public LinkedIn posts published in August 2026 by creators with at least 100 followers and impression data available. Deleted posts are excluded, and a follower bracket needs at least 50 posts to be reported.
Metrics
Impressions per post, in seven follower brackets from under 1K to 100K+. Low = 25th percentile, Median = 50th, High = 75th, Top 10% = 90th. Deltas compare each cell with the previous month.
Headline median
The median post figure weights each follower bracket by its share of the reference population, so the monthly mix of collected posts does not distort the trend.

Why the median?

One viral post should not distort your benchmark.

Posts are grouped by audience size. For each range, MagicPost calculates low, median, high and top 10% reach.

The median represents the middle post: half perform better and half perform worse. One viral outlier barely moves it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

LinkedIn impressions, in practice.

How many impressions does a LinkedIn post get?

MagicPost's LinkedIn benchmark puts the median LinkedIn post at 575 impressions in August 2026, across 22,064 public posts. Reach varies widely with audience size: the table above gives low, median, high and top 10% reach for each follower bracket.

What is a good number of impressions on LinkedIn?

Above the median for your follower bracket already beats half of comparable posts, and the top 10% column marks an excellent post. Judge your reach against your bracket, not against viral outliers.

Why use the median instead of the average?

One viral post can multiply an average and make it useless as a reference. The median is the middle post: half perform better and half perform worse, so it stays representative month after month.
