How to change the default language of my account?
|You change the language of the MagicPost interface in Settings, under the Preferences tab, on the Account language card. The setting exists on every MagicPost account, free or paid. The account language changes the interface only. The language of the posts MagicPost generates is a separate setting.
Languages available in MagicPost
The MagicPost interface is available in seven languages:
English
Français
Español
Italiano
Nederlands
Português
Deutsch
When you create your account, MagicPost picks one of these seven languages from the language preferences of your browser. If your browser asks for another language, MagicPost starts in English.
How to change the language of your MagicPost account
Open the profile menu at the bottom of the MagicPost sidebar and select Settings. The page opens on the Preferences tab. For the owner or an administrator of an organization who has no seat, the entry and the page are called My account, and Account language is on the same Preferences tab.
On the Account language card, open the list and select a language.
MagicPost switches the interface to the new language as soon as you select it. There is no save button. This link opens the tab directly: app.magicpost.in/settings?tab=profile.
What the account language changes, and what it does not
The MagicPost account language applies to the menus, buttons and messages of the app. The card itself says "Applies only to the interface and not to the posts." MagicPost also writes the emails it sends to your account in that language, for example the password reset email.
The account language does not change the language of the posts MagicPost generates. You choose that language with the Language setting of the writing settings, described in how to use writing parameters. You can keep the interface in English and generate posts in French, for example.
The account language is saved on your own MagicPost account. In an organization, each member chooses their own language, and changing yours does not change the interface of other members.
FAQ
I changed my MagicPost account language but my posts are still generated in the old language. Why?
The account language only covers the interface. Generated posts follow the Language setting of the writing settings, which you change separately. At sign-up MagicPost sets both to the same language, and after that the two settings are independent.
Is there a Save button for the MagicPost account language?
No. MagicPost saves and applies the account language as soon as you select it in the Account language list.
Is MagicPost available in German?
Yes. Deutsch is one of the seven interface languages you can select on the Account language card.
Can I use MagicPost in a language that is not in the list?
Not for the interface, which exists in the seven listed languages only. The posts are less limited: the Language setting of the writing settings accepts other languages. See how to use writing parameters.
