How to import leads from a CSV

CSV import is not available yet. You will see it in the Leads toolbar with a Bientôt badge — it is built, but not open to accounts yet. This article explains what it will do and, more importantly, what you can do today instead.

Add leads by hand, one at a time

This works right now, and for a handful of profiles it is quicker than a spreadsheet.

1. On the Leads tab, click Ajouter un lead.

2. Either paste a LinkedIn profile URL, or switch to Recherche and find the person by name.

3. Assign them to one or more ICPs, and add tags if you want to group them.

4. Ajouter.

MagicPost fetches the profile in the background. The lead lands in your pipeline unscored and costs you nothing — no credits are spent until you decide to score it.

Scoring a lead you added yourself

A lead added by hand is not scored automatically. Once its profile has been fetched, select it and score it against the ICP you care about. That costs 1 credit per lead, per ICP.

This is deliberate: you chose to add this person, so MagicPost does not spend your credits without asking.

What CSV import will do

When it opens up, you will be able to drop in a file with a column of LinkedIn profile URLs (`profile_url` or `linkedin_url`), preview the first rows, assign the whole batch to ICPs and tags, and let MagicPost fetch the profiles in the background. Duplicates get merged, invalid URLs are reported, and unreachable profiles are flagged.

As with a lead added by hand, an imported lead would not be AI-scored automatically — you would still choose when to spend credits on it.

FAQ

Why is CSV import not available?

It is not open on current plans yet. If bulk import is a blocker for you, tell us in the chat — it helps us prioritise.

Can I export my leads to CSV?

Not on current plans either. Leads can be pushed to Lemlist, Pipedrive, HubSpot or a webhook instead — see *How to connect Zapier, Lemlist, Pipedrive, or HubSpot*.

Is there another way to get a list of profiles in?

Add them one by one, by URL or by name search. For a long list, talk to us.
