How to add a lead manually, and where CSV import stands
|CSV import of leads is not open to MagicPost customers yet: in the Import leads dialog, the Import CSV card carries a Soon badge and cannot be clicked. Today you add leads to the MagicPost Leads module one at a time with Add manually, from a LinkedIn profile URL or a search by name. Adding a lead by hand requires the Leads module, included in the Growth, Creator, Agency, and Team plans and in the free trial. In an organization, the member needs a seat that includes Leads. The MagicPost Leads page presents the module as a whole.
Add a lead manually
Open Leads in MagicPost and stay on the Leads tab.
Click the three-dot button, More actions, at the right of the toolbar, then click Import leads.
In the Import leads dialog, click Add manually. The Add a lead dialog opens.
Keep URL and paste the URL of the LinkedIn profile, or switch to Search and find the person by name.
Under Assign to ICPs, tick the ICPs the lead belongs to. Tags are optional and help you group leads.
Click Add.
MagicPost confirms with Lead added and fetches the LinkedIn profile in the background. In the table view, when the list already shows at least one lead, MagicPost pins the new lead at the top right away, in a loading state, and fills the row in once the LinkedIn profile is fetched. On an empty list or in the kanban view, the new lead appears only once MagicPost has fetched its LinkedIn profile. After a page reload, the pin is gone and the lead also shows only once its profile has been fetched. In URL mode, MagicPost only accepts the URL of a personal LinkedIn profile, not a company page.
If the person is already in your leads, MagicPost does not create a duplicate. It shows This profile is already in your leads and adds the tags and the ICPs you picked to the existing lead.
What a manually added lead costs
Adding a lead by hand in MagicPost costs no Leads credit. A lead added from the Add a lead dialog is not scored by the AI: it joins the ICPs you ticked because you decided so, and its ICP affinity column shows a dash instead of a fit level.
MagicPost does not offer a scoring action on a selection of leads. If you want a profile scored when you add it, use Add to leads from the engagement feed or from the comments inbox, described below.
Other ways to add a lead
From a detection. Most leads come from the likes and comments on your own posts. See how to detect leads from a post.
From the engagers of a post. In the Engagers tab of a post in MagicPost Leads, a person who is not a lead has a dashed Lead chip. Click it to add the person to one or several ICPs.
From the engagement feed or the comments inbox. The three-dot menu of a post in the engagement feed, and of a comment in the comments inbox, has an Add to leads entry. Pick an ICP: MagicPost adds the author and scores the profile right away. That scoring spends one Leads credit when the fit is at least Medium.
What CSV import will do
MagicPost has not opened CSV import of leads to customers. The Import CSV card describes the feature as importing a list of leads from a CSV file. Until it opens, a list of profiles has to be added one profile at a time.

Can I import a CSV file of leads into MagicPost?
Not today. CSV import of leads is not open to customers: the Import CSV card shows Soon and is disabled. Add leads one at a time with Add manually instead.
I added a lead and I do not see it in the list. Why?
Because MagicPost has not fetched the LinkedIn profile yet, or because the lead is outside the ICP you are viewing. MagicPost pins a new lead at the top right away only in the table view, on a list that already shows at least one lead. On an empty list, in the kanban view or after a page reload, the lead appears once MagicPost has fetched its LinkedIn profile. Also check the ICP selector: a lead you assigned to no ICP only shows in the All leads view.
Why does my manually added lead have no fit level?
Because the Add a lead dialog adds the profile without AI scoring, at no credit cost. The lead is in the ICP list because you assigned it. To get a scored lead, add the person with Add to leads from the engagement feed or the comments inbox.
Can I export my leads to CSV?
Yes, on a paid plan. Use Export leads to CSV in the More actions menu, or Export to CSV on a selection. CSV export is locked during the free trial. See how to export your leads to CSV.
