How to detect leads from a post
A detection tells MagicPost to scan everyone who engaged with a given post and qualify them against your ICPs. It is the main way leads land in your pipeline.
You can run detections manually, post by post, or turn on automatic detection to let MagicPost scan new posts on its own.
Manual detection
Go to the Posts tab.
Click Detect leads in the toolbar, or click a specific post and use its action button.
Pick the post and the ICPs you want to score against.
Click Launch.
MagicPost captures the post's engagers, runs them through pre-qualification, then scores the matches with AI. You can leave the page, the work continues in the background. Once it is done, the new leads show up in the Leads tab.
Automatic detection
The recommended setup once you have a stable ICP. Auto-detection scans every new post you publish on a chosen schedule, with no clicks needed from you.
See How to enable automatic lead detection to set it up.
Re-sync a post
If new people have engaged since the last detection, click Re-sync on the post card or in the post detail drawer. MagicPost only scores the new engagers, the ones already qualified are left untouched.
One detection at a time
MagicPost runs only one detection at a time per account. If you try to launch a second one, a warning appears and the launch is blocked. See Why can't I detect leads on two posts at once? for the reasoning.
Where to find your results
Once a detection finishes, head to the Leads tab and filter by the source post or the ICP you scored against. The post detail drawer also lists every engager from that post with their qualification level.
