How to export my leads to CSV
MagicPost exports the leads of the Leads module to a CSV file, either the whole filtered list or a selection of leads. CSV export is open on the paid plans that include Leads, which are Growth, Creator, Agency, and Team, and with the Leads add-on. CSV export is locked during the free trial. In an organization, the member needs a seat that includes Leads. The file contains the LinkedIn profile data of each lead, your pipeline fields and, when an ICP is selected, the scoring details.
Export the leads shown by your filters
Open Leads in MagicPost and stay on the Leads tab.
Select an ICP, or View all leads, and set the filters you want. See how to filter and organize your leads.
Click the three-dot button, More actions, at the right of the toolbar, then click Export leads to CSV.
In the Export leads dialog, check the number of leads to export and the Applied filters.
Click Download.
The MagicPost Export leads dialog exports exactly the leads your current ICP, filters and search keep in the list. With no filter and no ICP selected, the dialog says that all your leads are exported, regardless of ICPs.
Export a selection of leads
In the table view of the MagicPost Leads tab, tick the leads you want.
Click Export to CSV in the selection bar.
MagicPost downloads the file right away, with no confirmation dialog, and shows CSV export downloaded.
What the CSV file contains
A MagicPost leads export has one row per lead. The file name includes the number of leads and the date, and the file opens in a spreadsheet such as Excel or Google Sheets.
Profile: LinkedIn profile URL, full name, first name, last name, headline, summary, current job, city, country, followers and connections.
Company: name, industry, size, domain, LinkedIn URL and description.
Pipeline: source, contact status, tags, the comment you wrote on the lead in the Comment column, and the dates the lead was detected, first contacted and last moved.
Scoring, only when an ICP is selected: scoring status, fit level, score, the key quote, the reasoning, the matched signals and the scoring date for that ICP.
Three columns of a MagicPost leads export need a word of warning.
Fit level: the file gives a letter, not the label. A stands for Excellent, B for Good and C for Medium.
Contact status: the file gives the internal identifier of the status, not the label you see in MagicPost. A default status exports as an English keyword, such as contacted or won. A status you created exports as an identifier that starts with custom_.
Email and phone: the columns exist, but MagicPost does not look up email addresses or phone numbers for customers, so expect them to be empty.
Why the export button shows a lock
During the MagicPost free trial, CSV export is locked. The Export to CSV button and the Download button show a lock, with the message CSV export is available with a paid plan or the Leads add-on. The export opens as soon as you are on a paid plan that includes Leads. See how to upgrade your MagicPost plan.
What the export does not include
Profiles that are not leads. The export covers your Leads list only. A profile that was analyzed and set aside is not in that list, so MagicPost does not export it.
Pending leads. Leads waiting for credits are hidden from the list of an ICP, so they are not exported until they are scored.
Scoring across several ICPs. The scoring columns cover one ICP, the selected one. In the All leads view, the file has no scoring columns.
A single MagicPost export has a maximum number of leads. For a very large list, filter the list and export it in several files. To push leads to a CRM or an outbound tool without a file, see how to connect your tools. The MagicPost Leads page presents the Leads module as a whole.
FAQ
Do my filters apply to the CSV export?
Yes. Export leads to CSV exports the leads currently kept by the selected ICP, the filters and the search. The Export leads dialog shows the number of leads and the applied filters before you download.
Why are the scoring columns missing from my file?
Because no ICP was selected. MagicPost adds the scoring columns only when you export from the view of one ICP. Select the ICP in the selector at the top left, then export again.
Can I export leads during the free trial?
No. CSV export is locked during the MagicPost free trial and opens on a paid plan that includes Leads, or with the Leads add-on. Connected tools stay available during the trial if you need to send leads elsewhere.
Can a team admin export the leads of the whole team?
Yes. On the team Leads page of a MagicPost Team organization, the admin ticks leads in the All members view or in the view of one member, then clicks Export to CSV in the selection bar. In the All members view, the file has one row per person, with the members who hold that lead. See how to use Leads as a team.
