How can I add my services and persona to personalize MagicPost AI?
|You describe your services and your target audience in the MagicPost knowledge base, in the Who you are card. The card has five fields: Profile, Summary, Audience, Offer and My story. When MagicPost generates a post, it passes the AI the fields that match the post type. The Who you are fields are part of AI post generation, included in Creator, Agency, and Team and in the free trial.
The Who you are fields (Profile, Summary, Audience, Offer, My story) are no longer in the MagicPost Settings page. In MagicPost, the persona is the Audience field, and your services go in the Offer field.
How to open the Who you are fields
In MagicPost, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to open the profile menu.
Click Knowledge base.
In the Who you are card, click the field you want to fill in.
The five MagicPost fields open in one window. On a computer, a list on the side, titled Who you are, lets you move from one field to another and marks the empty ones as To be completed. On a phone, the window shows only the field you opened.
What to write in each field
Profile: your LinkedIn headline, your job title and your company.
Summary: what you do and who for, in a few lines.
Audience: the typical profiles your content is aimed at. This is your persona.
Offer: the services or products you or your company offer. An optional website field sits under the text.
My story: your background and what brought you here.
How to fill a field faster
MagicPost can draft the Summary, Audience, Offer and My story fields for you. Under each field, a detection button writes a suggestion. The button is labeled Detect from my LinkedIn data, and its label changes when MagicPost can also use your website or your knowledge base. The arrow next to the button brings back the text you had before.
For the Offer field, MagicPost also analyzes the website you entered when it detects your offer. For the Profile section, the Detect from LinkedIn button appears only when a LinkedIn account is connected to MagicPost.
The three-dot menu next to the detection button contains Dictate text, to fill a MagicPost field by voice.
How to save
Fill in or correct the field.
Click Save and close. On a computer, a second button saves and opens the next field.
A document added to the MagicPost knowledge base can also fill an empty field. When MagicPost finishes analyzing a file that describes you, it offers to apply what it found to your summary, audience, offer or story. See how to use the knowledge base.
How MagicPost uses the Who you are fields
MagicPost does not send every Who you are field to the AI for every post. MagicPost sends the fields that match the Post type chosen in the generator.
Every post type: your Summary and your LinkedIn headline.
Promotional: also your Offer and your Audience.
Inspiring and Introspective: also My story.
Actionable: nothing more.
In the MagicPost generator, the AI context line under Advanced options has a switch. Switched off, MagicPost generates the post without your context information. The switch stays as you left it for the next generations.
Clicking the AI context line opens the AI context information dialog. The dialog contains the Summary, Audience, Offer and My story fields and a Files tab, so you can correct them without leaving the MagicPost generator.

FAQ
I can't find "Profile context" or "Writing parameters" in Settings. Where are they?
The profile context and the writing settings moved to the MagicPost knowledge base. The MagicPost Settings page no longer contains any AI setting. Open the profile menu and click Knowledge base: your context is in Who you are, and the writing settings are in How you write.
Where do I describe my persona?
In the Audience field of the Who you are card. MagicPost has no field named "persona": the audience field plays that role.
I filled in my offer, but MagicPost does not mention it in my posts. Why?
Check the post type first. MagicPost only sends the Offer and Audience fields to the AI for the Promotional post type. Then check the AI context switch in the generator's Advanced options: when it is off, MagicPost does not send your context information to the AI. A filled-in offer is context for the AI, not text that MagicPost inserts in every post.
I don't see Knowledge base in my profile menu. Why?
MagicPost hides the Knowledge base entry from the profile menu on the Growth plan, which does not include AI post generation. The knowledge base serves AI post generation, included in Creator, Agency, and Team. The Knowledge base entry is also missing from the admin view of an organization and on a Growth organization seat.
