Create your posts by chatting with the AI (Conversational mode)

The generator has a third mode, next to Standard and Templates: Conversational. Instead of filling a form, you talk. "Write a post about the mistake I made with my first client", then "shorter", then "less formal hook", then "schedule it Tuesday 9am". The AI writes, edits and schedules with you, in one thread.

Conversational mode is in beta and rolling out progressively. If the option is not in your generation mode selector yet, your account does not have it enabled at this point.

Where to find it

On the generator page, open the Generation mode selector and pick Conversational. The form is replaced by a chat; the editor stays on the right, and fills up as you work.

The selector goes back to Standard when you reload the page: pick Conversational again to resume. Your conversations themselves are saved (more below).

What you can ask for

The chat handles the whole lifecycle of a post:

• Write a post from an idea, a rough brief, or a pasted draft. A few words are enough to start; the more context you give, the closer the first version lands.

• Rework it: shorten, expand, rewrite the hook, change the tone, add a CTA, produce a fresh version. Each request modifies the draft in the editor, and you watch the change happen.

• Get hooks to choose from. Ask for new hooks and the AI lays out clickable cards: click one and it replaces the hook of your current draft.

• Get post ideas. Ask for ideas on a theme and you receive idea cards. On each one: pin it (it lands in your pinned ideas), develop it into key points, or use it to generate the post right away.

• Look at your numbers. Ask about your best posts and the AI answers with post cards (impressions, likes, comments) pulled from your metrics. Click a card to open the post.

• Schedule or publish. Say when you want it out: the scheduling panel opens with your post ready, and you confirm without leaving the conversation.

• Just discuss. Ask what the AI thinks of the draft, what could be stronger, which angle fits your audience: not every message has to change the text.

A few input helpers: the microphone dictates your message, Tab on an empty field picks up the suggested prompt, and while the AI writes, a stop button interrupts it and restores the draft as it was.

Feed it a source

The + button attaches a source to your next message:

• A URL: an article, a YouTube video, a LinkedIn post. The AI reads it and writes from it.

• A file: PDF, image, video or audio, up to 50 MB, exactly like file generation in Standard mode.

• A template: pick one from your template library and the post follows its structure.

One source per message. A conversation holds a limited number of file uploads; when you reach it, the app tells you and a new conversation resets the count.

You keep the pen

The editor stays yours the whole time:

• Type directly in the draft whenever you want. Your manual edits always take priority: the AI never overwrites what you just typed.

• Every change is versioned. The edit history shows each version with what produced it (AI edit, manual edit, hook change...), a diff view highlighting what changed between versions, and one-click restore. You can bookmark a version as a milestone to find it again easily.

• One conversation can hold several posts. Ask for a post on a second subject and numbered buttons appear under the editor to switch between drafts. Each keeps its own history.

Your settings follow you

The AI settings button in the chat carries the same account settings as the Standard generator: writing style, language, tone, emojis, the Humanizer and its intensity, web search. Change them here and they apply everywhere, Standard mode included.

Conversations are saved

The clock icon lists your recent conversations: search them, reopen one and continue where you left off, rename or delete from the card menu. A new conversation starts from the button at the top of the chat.

One rule to know: once a post from a conversation is published, that conversation becomes read-only. You can still read everything, and a Create a draft from this post button starts a fresh conversation from its content, so you can build on it.

Usage and credits

Conversational mode has usage limits that depend on your plan. You do not need to memorize them: small gauges above the message field show exactly where you stand, in real time, and the app tells you when a limit is close or reached.

Two meters run at once: your messages count toward your conversational usage, and each generated post consumes a post credit, exactly like the classic generator. Discussing, editing and scheduling do not consume credits.

FAQ

I don't see the Conversational option in the generator.

It is a beta in progressive rollout, enabled account by account. If the option is absent from your Generation mode selector, it has not reached your account yet. No setting on your side turns it on.

Is Conversational mode better than the Standard generator?

Different, not better. Standard is fast when you know your subject and your format: one form, one post. Conversational shines when the post needs back-and-forth: refining an angle, testing hooks, working from a discussion. The writing engine and your style settings are the same.

Does the conversational AI learn my style?

It uses the same writing style profile and AI context as the rest of MagicPost, and it reads your recent posts to match your voice. Importing a writing style improves it here too.

Can I bring back an old version of my draft after more changes?

Yes. Open the edit history from the editor: every version is there with a diff view, and restoring one is one click. Nothing is lost by experimenting.

Why did my conversation become read-only?

A post from it was published. Published posts are frozen in their conversation; use Create a draft from this post to keep iterating in a new one.
