Understanding and buying Leads credits

Credits are how the Leads module meters AI scoring. The rule is simple: 1 credit = 1 lead scored against 1 ICP. Everything else is free.

What consumes a credit

  • The AI scoring of a profile against one of your ICPs.

  • Re-scoring a lead after you regenerate the ICP it was scored on.

That is the whole list.

What is free

  • Pre-qualification: the keyword and filter pass that runs before the AI, including the borderline check inside it.

  • Capturing the engagers on a post. Launching a detection on a post that turns up nobody relevant costs you nothing.

  • Your own manual verdicts.

  • Creating, editing, regenerating, archiving or deleting an ICP.

  • Adding a lead by hand. It lands in your pipeline unscored, and you decide later whether to spend a credit on it.

Your monthly quota

A paid plan (Creator and above) comes with 100 credits per month, whichever plan above Creator you take. They reset on the renewal date shown in the credits panel, and they do not roll over. During the free trial you get 10 credits, valid 3 days.

The credits widget at the top of the Leads page shows what you have left. Click it to open the details: your remaining balance, a progress bar for the month, your renewal date, any extra credits you have bought, and any scorings currently on hold.

Buying extra credits

If 100 a month is not enough, you have two ways to get more, both from the credits widget at the top of the Leads page.

The Leads add-on (recurring)

€39/month, on top of your plan. It stacks 500 credits onto your monthly quota (a Creator goes from 100 to 600 a month) and raises your ICP limit from 2 to 5. The credits refresh every month like your plan quota, and the consumption already recorded in the current month stays deducted. Best if you run detections steadily. Cancel it any time from billing.

Top-ups (one-off)

For a busy month (a post takes off, you launch a campaign) without a recurring commitment:

  1. Click the credits widget at the top of the Leads page.

  2. Choose how many top-ups you want. Each one is 75 credits for €10, valid 90 days.

  3. Pay through Stripe. The credits land in your account within seconds.

You can buy between 1 and 10 top-ups at a time. Top-ups are only available on a paid plan; they are not offered during the trial.

How credits are spent

MagicPost always spends your monthly quota first, then falls back to your top-ups, oldest expiry first. That way bought credits are never left to expire while your monthly allowance sits unused.

When you run out

Nothing breaks. Scorings that cannot run are put on hold with a Quota exhausted badge, the credits widget turns amber and tells you how many are waiting. You can still capture engagers, edit ICPs, work your pipeline and use every other feature. Only AI scoring pauses.

Buy a top-up and the held scorings restart on their own, automatically, within a minute or two.

If you would rather wait for your monthly renewal, your quota does come back, but the held scorings do not restart by themselves. Relaunch a detection on the post, or select the leads and score them, and they will go through.

FAQ

How many leads can I score per month?

100 on a paid plan, 600 with the €39 Leads add-on, plus any top-ups you buy. The trial gives you 10.

Do top-ups expire?

Yes, 90 days after purchase. MagicPost spends the ones closest to expiry first so you lose as few as possible.

I keep buying top-ups. Should I switch to the add-on?

If you top up most months, the Leads add-on is usually cheaper: €39/month for 500 recurring credits (600 a month total on Creator) and 5 ICPs, versus paying per pack. Top-ups stay the better fit for the occasional spike. Still running out on the add-on? Talk to us and we will work out what fits.

Does enriching a lead's email or phone number use my Leads credits?

No. Contact enrichment runs on a separate credit balance and never touches your Leads quota.
