Using MagicPost without browser extensions
No, you don't need to install a browser extension to use MagicPost. Everything runs securely through LinkedIn's own approved integration, so there's nothing extra to add to your browser.
Why we don't recommend browser extensions
They're not approved for LinkedIn. We don't build, support, or endorse browser extensions for LinkedIn activity, including ones from other tools.
They mimic human behavior. Most LinkedIn extensions work by simulating clicks, scrolls, and typing directly in your browser to auto-post or auto-engage. LinkedIn's systems are built to detect this kind of automation.
They put your account at risk. Because this behavior looks artificial to LinkedIn, accounts using extensions can get flagged, restricted, or even banned, sometimes with little warning.
You lose control over what's happening. Extensions often run in the background, making changes to your account without a clear, visible log of what was done or when.
How MagicPost works instead
MagicPost is an official third-party app, approved directly by LinkedIn, not a browser add-on.
Your account stays fully compliant with LinkedIn's terms, with no automation simulating your behavior behind the scenes.
You'll never be asked to install anything in your browser to use MagicPost, just log in and go.
