Understanding lead detection statuses

Posts and leads each carry a status telling you where they are in the Leads module's detection and scoring flow. Each status tells you whether to wait, to relaunch, or to spend a credit.

One number decodes most of them: 1 credit = 1 lead scored against 1 ICP. A paid plan (Creator and above) gives you 100 credits a month, the free trial 10 credits valid 3 days. Capture and pre-qualification are free.

Post statuses

Shown on the post row and in the post detail panel.

• Not analyzed. Never scanned. Launch a detection to qualify its engagers. If the post row reads *"No interaction"* instead, nobody has liked or commented on it yet, so there is nothing to scan.

• Detection in progress… A detection is running. Wait for it, or cancel it with Cancel.

• Synchronized · N leads. Fully scored against the ICPs you picked. Nothing to do. You may still see a note that some of your ICPs were never run on this post. Run them for full coverage.

• To resynchronize. Already scored, but new people have liked or commented since. The badge tells you how many. Click Synchronize: only the new engagers are scored, at 1 credit each, per ICP.

• ICP updated. You regenerated an ICP after this post was scanned, so the post was scored against an older version of it. Click Re-run to pick up the leads that version was discarding.

• Failure. The detection errored. Click Retry. Failures are usually transient.

• Cancelled. You cancelled the run. Relaunch whenever you like.

Lead statuses

Shown on the lead's fit column in the Leads tab.

• Scoring… The AI is working on this lead, or it is queued.

• A fit level: Excellent, Good, Medium or Low. Done. Hover it to see the reasoning.

• To reassess. Scored under an older version of the ICP, because you regenerated it. The old score is still shown and still usable. Score the lead again to refresh it, at a cost of 1 credit.

• Quota exhausted. Your credits ran out before this lead could be scored. Nothing is lost: buy a top-up and the held scorings restart on their own.

• Failure. The scoring errored. Click Retry on the lead.

• Unscored. The lead is in your pipeline but was never sent to the AI, typically a lead you added by hand, or one from a detection that was interrupted. Select it and score it when you want.

• Score the affinity. The lead passed pre-qualification but has not been scored yet. One click sends it to the AI, at 1 credit.

• Disqualified. Ruled out at the free pre-qualification step. Click it to see exactly which keyword or filter rejected them. No credit was spent.

Pre-qualification

Before any AI scoring, every profile goes through a free keyword and filter pass. Nothing here costs a credit, whatever the outcome. You can filter your leads on it:

• Affinity: passed. Queued for AI scoring, at 1 credit per lead, per ICP.

• Disqualified: ruled out. Either an exclusion keyword hit, or the profile failed a hard filter (country, an exclusion on industry, company size or city, follower range, profile type), or the free borderline check judged it out of scope. Never sent to the scoring AI, never charged. How AI scoring works details the three outcomes of that pass.

The leads summary panel also counts the profiles that could not be pre-qualified at all, under Not assessed, usually profiles with too little information on them.

Profile retrieval

Separately from scoring, MagicPost has to fetch each person's LinkedIn profile. You will occasionally see:

• Recovery in progress: we are fetching the profile.

• Recovered / Already known: we have it.

• Not found: the profile could not be fetched. It is deleted, private or unreachable. Retrying will not help.

• Failure: the fetch failed. This one is worth retrying.

FAQ

A lead is "Quota exhausted". Do I lose it?

No. It sits and waits. Buy a top-up and it is scored automatically. If you would rather wait for your monthly renewal, your quota comes back but held leads do not restart on their own. Relaunch the detection, or select the leads and score them.

What is the difference between "Disqualified" and "Low"?

Disqualified means a keyword or a filter ruled the person out before the AI ever saw them, at no cost. Low means the AI read the whole profile and judged them a poor fit, at 1 credit. Both stay in your list. How AI scoring works explains the two steps in detail.

My post says "To resynchronize" but I do not want to spend more credits.

Then leave it. The status is a nudge, not an obligation. Nothing is scored until you click Synchronize.
