How to enable automatic lead detection

Automatic detection scans your new posts on a schedule and qualifies their engagers without you lifting a finger. It is the recommended setup once you have a stable ICP.

Turn it on

  1. On the Leads page, click the Activate auto-detection banner above the posts grid, or open it from the Posts tab toolbar.

  2. Pick the delay options that decide when MagicPost should scan after a post is published. A recommended preset is available if you want a balanced setup out of the box.

  3. Pick which ICPs to score against (all of them, or a specific subset).

  4. Optionally enable the email notification for new leads.

  5. Click Save.

Why multiple delays

A single post keeps gathering engagement over time. Scanning early catches initial traction, scanning later picks up the long tail. The available delay options let you decide how aggressive or relaxed you want to be.

Scope: all ICPs or specific ones

  • All: every active, ready ICP scores every new post. Broadest pipeline, higher credit usage.

  • Selected: only the ICPs you check are used for auto-scoring. Tighter credit control.

Archived ICPs are excluded in both modes.

Email notification

When enabled, you receive an email after each detection batch, listing how many leads were found at each level. Useful if you do not log in every day but still want to act fast on high-quality matches.

Turn it off

Open the same settings dialog and uncheck Auto-detection. Already-detected leads stay in your pipeline, only future posts are no longer scanned automatically.

Manual detection still works

Auto-detection and manual detection coexist. You can launch a one-off detection on any post at any time, even when auto-detection is enabled.
