How to use the media library

Every image, video and document you use in your posts lives in one place: Media, in the sidebar. Upload once, organize in folders, and reuse from any post without hunting through your downloads folder.

The library is recent (you may see a Beta badge in the sidebar) and available to everyone.

What is in it

Four tabs at the top of the Media page:

  • Library: your uploaded files: images, videos, documents.

  • Visuals: the visuals you have created with MagicPost.

  • Carousels: your carousels, ready to attach or keep editing.

  • GIFs: search GIFs (powered by GIPHY) and use them in your posts and comments.

Organize it

  • Folders: create folders and move files into them: one per client, per campaign, per format, whatever mirrors how you work. Drag and drop works.

  • Rename files so future-you finds them: "webinar-june-cover" beats "IMG_4382".

  • Favorites: star the files you reuse constantly; they surface first.

  • Search across everything, and select several files at once for bulk moves or deletion.

Use media in a post

Two directions, same result:

  • From the library: open a file and choose Add to a post (or Create a post to start from the media).

  • From the editor: the media menu → Add media → Library opens a picker with your folders and search: insert without leaving the draft.

The per-post limits are those of LinkedIn publishing: up to 9 images, or 1 video, or 1 document: details in adding media to a post.

Uploads

Drop files anywhere on the Library tab, or click to browse. Uploads land at the root or in the open folder. The formats accepted are the ones LinkedIn accepts in posts: standard images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP and phone formats like HEIC), videos, and PDF for documents.

On mobile, the Media page has its own layout: same tabs, upload from your camera roll, and a selection bar for moving or deleting files.

FAQ

Do files I add in the editor end up in the library?

Yes: media you attach to posts and media you upload to the library live in the same place. Uploading through either door makes the file reusable everywhere.

Is there a storage limit on the media library?

Individual files follow the same size rules as post uploads, which are generous (up to 1 GB for a video). You will not run into a library ceiling with normal use; if a limit ever applies to your account, the app tells you when you reach it.

Can I share my library with my team?

The library is personal to your account today. On a team, each member manages their own. Brand assets that everyone should use belong in your brand kit.

Where do my AI visuals and carousels go?

They save automatically into their own tabs (Visuals and Carousels) the moment you create them: nothing to do on your side.

Does deleting a file from the library remove it from published posts?

No. A post that already went out on LinkedIn keeps its media: deleting from the library only cleans up your MagicPost storage.
