What is the AI score, and how to lower it
The MagicPost AI score is a check of the AI-sounding phrasing in a LinkedIn post. MagicPost scans the post, highlights each flagged passage in the editor and gives the post a grade from A to E. The AI score is available on the Creator, Agency and Team plans and during the free trial. It is not available on the Growth plan.
The AI score lists specific turns of phrase. It does not say whether an AI detector would flag the post, and a good grade is not a guarantee about reach.
How to run the AI score on a post
Open a post in the MagicPost editor: a generated post, a draft, or a post you wrote yourself.
Click AI score at the top of the editor. When the Mobile display switch of Preview options is on, the button is a gauge icon without its label.
Wait while the button shows Analyzing... The Post AI score card then opens with the grade and the list of flagged passages.
Once a post has been scanned, the MagicPost button shows the grade itself, and clicking it reopens the result without scanning again. In the Posts list, a scanned post also shows its grade next to its date.
How to read the grade
The MagicPost AI score sorts flagged passages into two groups, shown in the card and highlighted in the text.
AI tells: the turns of phrase most typical of AI writing. The card notes that these phrases can reduce your reach. They drive the grade.
Writing tics: common turns of phrase, described in the card as often read as AI but with no proven impact. They only weigh on the grade by their number.
The more AI tells a post contains, the lower the MagicPost grade.
A: The post doesn't sound AI-written.
B: At least one phrase to fix.
C: Several phrases to fix.
D: Many phrases to fix.
E: Warning: your post sounds AI-written.
MagicPost does not flag engagement practices such as a closing question or a postscript, and it does not flag clean list formatting.
How to lower the AI score
MagicPost gives three ways to remove a flagged passage. Each fix is applied in the editor right away.
Fix one passage. In the card, hover over a passage and click Fix. Or click the highlighted passage in the text and choose Fix this passage.
Fix everything. Click Fix all at the bottom of the card. MagicPost rewrites every flagged passage and lists the changes under Fixed.
Do it yourself. Click a highlighted passage and choose Edit it myself or Delete. Delete removes the whole sentence that contains the passage.
If a flagged passage is intentional, click it and choose Ignore: no longer flag this passage. The MagicPost grade stays frozen and the card asks for a rescan: click Rescan my post, and MagicPost no longer counts that passage.
A fix made from the MagicPost card with Fix or Fix all can be undone from the Edit with AI panel at the bottom of the editor, where the fix is listed with a Cancel link. A fix made with Fix this passage, from the highlighted text, is not listed in the Edit with AI panel.
A fix made by MagicPost with Fix, Fix this passage or Fix all counts as an AI edit on the daily AI edit quota. Editing or deleting the passage yourself does not count. See how to edit a post with AI for the quota.
After you edit the post
When you change the text by hand after a scan, or ignore a flagged passage, the MagicPost card shows Post edited since the scan. Rescan to update the list. The grade stays frozen until you click Rescan my post. A fix made with the Fix buttons updates the grade without a new scan.
AI score, Humanizer and Humanize the post
MagicPost has three tools against AI phrasing, used at different moments.
Humanizer acts while MagicPost generates a post. It is set in the generator's Advanced options.
AI score shows what is left in a finished draft, passage by passage, and lets you decide what to fix.
Humanize the post, in the Edit with AI panel, fixes all the flagged passages of a draft in one action, like Fix all.

FAQ
Why don't I see the AI score button?
There are several possible reasons. Your plan does not include the AI score: MagicPost hides the button on the Growth plan. The post is too short: the button only appears once the post is long enough to analyze. A generation is in progress: the button comes back when the post is complete. The post is already published, or it is a repost. Or you hold a specialized organization seat without AI.
Does a grade of A mean my post cannot be detected as AI?
No. The MagicPost AI score counts specific turns of phrase. A grade of A means MagicPost found no AI tell in the post, not that a detector or a reader will consider the post human-written.
I clicked Fix all and nothing changed. Why?
MagicPost judged that the flagged phrases were intentional or already natural in your text. The card then shows a message starting with No correction. Edit the passage yourself, or use Ignore: no longer flag this passage.
Is there a limit on the number of scans?
Yes. MagicPost limits AI score scans per day. When the limit is reached, MagicPost shows Daily scan limit reached. Try again tomorrow. Reopening a result that already exists does not use a scan.
Is the AI score the same thing as AI scoring in Leads?
No. The AI score described here grades the phrasing of a post in the MagicPost editor. AI scoring in the Leads module rates a lead against your ideal customer profiles. See how AI scoring works.
