How many visuals and carousels can I generate?
|How many carousels, visuals and AI images MagicPost lets you generate depends on your plan. The Creator plan sets no cap. On Agency and Team, carousels and visuals have no cap, and AI images have a monthly cap.
The Growth plan does not include media generation: it is included in Creator, Agency, and Team. These rules apply to subscriptions on the current MagicPost price list.
Limits by plan
Growth. Carousel, visual and AI image generation is closed on the Growth plan. MagicPost shows an upgrade prompt, not a quota message. Uploading your own media to the library stays possible on Growth.
Creator. The Creator plan sets no cap on carousel generations, on visual generations, on AI images, or on copilot edits of carousels and visuals.
Agency. The Agency plan sets no cap on carousel and visual generations. On Agency, AI images are capped at 100 per month. Copilot edits are capped at 100 per month, shared between carousels and visuals. Both caps reset about once a month.
Team. The Team plan sets no cap on carousel and visual generations. On Team, AI images are capped at 100 per month. Copilot edits are capped at 100 per month, shared between carousels and visuals. Both caps reset about once a month.
In MagicPost, "AI images" covers three things that share one cap: AI visuals, AI mockups and AI photos. Generating an AI photo uses the same allowance as generating an AI visual.
Free trial and free account
Free trial. The MagicPost free trial includes a small one-time allowance of media generations, which depends on your country. In some countries the trial includes no AI images. The trial allowance does not refill during the trial.
Free account. Once the trial has ended, media generation is locked on a free MagicPost account. You need a plan that includes it to generate again.
Subscriptions bought before the current price list
The current MagicPost price list dates from September 2026. A Creator or Agency subscription bought before it keeps the limits of the price list it was bought on. A Team subscription bought before Team was sold per seat also keeps the limits of its own price list.
On an earlier MagicPost price list, the limit can be a fixed allowance per feature, per rolling 30-day window. The gauge shows the cap that applies to you.
A rolling window is not a calendar month. The full allowance comes back 30 days after the first generation of the current window, so nothing resets on the 1st of the month.

What uses one generation, and what is free
Where a cap applies, MagicPost counts one unit each time it generates something new.
These each use one unit:
Generating a carousel or a visual.
Regenerating the same visual under a different design.
Each AI variant you request.
Each copilot edit, counted against the edit allowance.
These are always free:

All manual editing: text, colors, layout, everything you change by hand.
You can open a MagicPost visual, edit it by hand for an hour, restore an earlier version and switch layouts without using a unit. Only a new generation counts.
Where to see what is left
When a cap applies to you, the MagicPost generation window shows a gauge in the format used/limit. When your plan sets no cap for a feature, MagicPost shows no gauge for it.

FAQ
Is carousel and visual generation unlimited on the Creator plan?
The Creator plan sets no cap on carousels, visuals, AI images or copilot edits, for a subscription on the current price list. A Creator subscription bought before September 2026 keeps the limits of its own price list, shown on the gauge.
Do 2 AI variants cost 2 credits?
Yes, where a cap applies. The panel says "1 variant = 1 credit", so two variants use two units. If you have only one unit left, ask for one variant.
When does my allowance reset?
It depends on the kind of cap. The monthly caps of the Agency and Team plans reset about once a month: on the monthly anniversary of the subscription for its holder, and on a window that starts with the first generation for a member of the organization.
A rolling 30-day allowance, found on some earlier MagicPost price lists, comes back all at once, 30 days after the first generation of the current window.
Is manual editing limited?
No. Editing text, colors and layout by hand is unlimited on every plan that includes media generation, and so is restoring a version or switching a layout.
MagicPost says media generation is not in my plan. Why?
You are on a plan that does not include it: Growth, the former Analytics plan, or a free account after the trial. Media generation is included in Creator, Agency, and Team.
