Can MagicPost generate visuals and carousels?

Yes. MagicPost generates LinkedIn carousels and single-image visuals with AI, from one of your posts, a topic, a URL or a file. MagicPost also generates AI photos of you from your reference photos. Media generation is included in Creator, Agency, and Team. The Growth plan does not include it.

MagicPost media generation has two special cases. On Agency, a member on a specialized seat type (Growth, Analytics or Engagement) has no media generation: see Everything in the Agency plan. MagicPost generation lives in three tabs of the Media page (AI photos, Visuals and Carousels), next to the library of the media you keep. The Visuals tab holds both visuals built from a template and AI visuals, AI mockups included. You can also start a generation from a post in the MagicPost editor.

Where media generation is in MagicPost

In the MagicPost sidebar, Media sits under Manage. The MagicPost Media page has these tabs: Library, AI photos, Visuals, Carousels and GIFs.

In MagicPost, the Carousels tab carries a Beta badge. The Visuals and AI photos tabs carry none. The GIFs tab is a search of existing GIFs: MagicPost does not generate GIFs.

From a post, the MagicPost editor offers the same tools. Click Add media: the Create with AI section lists Visual, Carousel and Photo, and uses the open post as the source. The post needs text first: on an empty post, MagicPost shows "Your post doesn't have enough content yet."

What each MagicPost tool produces

Carousels. A MagicPost carousel is a deck of slides in one fixed vertical format. MagicPost writes and lays out every slide, you edit them, and MagicPost exports the deck as a PDF. See how to generate a LinkedIn carousel with AI.

Visuals from a template. MagicPost fills a fixed layout with your content, then opens an editor where you change the text, the colors and the design by hand. MagicPost exports this visual as a JPEG image. See how to create a visual from a customizable template.

The same sources. A MagicPost carousel or visual starts from one of your posts, a topic, a URL or a file. MagicPost reads the source and writes the content of the carousel or the visual from it.

One brand kit. MagicPost keeps a single brand kit per account, with your colors, your design styles and your identity. It applies to carousels and to visuals. See how to set up my brand kit.

A Copilot in two editors. The MagicPost carousel editor and the editor of a visual built from a template both have a Copilot column, where you type a request and MagicPost changes the design. An AI visual has no Copilot.

Limits to know

The format of a MagicPost carousel cannot be changed.
A MagicPost visual built from a template is vertical. Among MagicPost visuals, the choice between Vertical, Square and Horizontal exists only for AI visuals. AI photos have their own format choice.
In the MagicPost visual wizard, the Custom segment reproduces one of your own visuals with new content. It is in beta: an account outside the beta sees "Custom designs are not yet available on your account."

FAQ

Can I generate visuals and carousels on the Growth plan?

No. The Growth plan does not include media generation. The MagicPost Media page stays open on Growth, so you can upload and attach your own media, and every creation button opens an upgrade window. Media generation is included in Creator, Agency, and Team.

Are MagicPost visuals and carousels still in beta?

Partly. Among the MagicPost Media tabs, only Carousels carries a Beta badge. The Visuals and AI photos tabs carry none. Inside the MagicPost visual wizard, the Custom segment is marked as beta. In the MagicPost AI photo window, the Attach a photo option is also marked as beta.

Can I edit the text of an AI visual by hand?

No. A MagicPost AI visual is a finished image, so its text cannot be edited by hand. You type a request under Request a change and MagicPost generates a new version. To edit text by hand, build the visual from a template.

Does starting from a template without AI use my allowance?

No. In MagicPost, Start from a template creates a visual or a carousel without generating anything, so it uses no generation. Carousels also have Start from scratch, which opens an empty carousel and uses no generation either. Visuals have no Start from scratch. Both entries still require a plan that includes media generation.
