How to set up my brand kit
|The MagicPost brand kit stores your brand colors, your design styles and your identity (name, subtitle, photo, logo). MagicPost applies it to the carousels and visuals you create. Each MagicPost account has one brand kit, shared by carousels and visuals. Carousels and visuals are included in Creator, Agency, and Team.
On the MagicPost Agency plan, a member on a specialized seat type (Growth, Analytics or Engagement) has no media generation, so cannot create the carousels and visuals the brand kit applies to. See Everything in the Agency plan.
In a MagicPost team organization, on the Team plan, administrators can also set a team brand kit. Its styles appear first in the brand kit of every member, while each member keeps their own photo, name and logo. Agency organizations, on the Agency plan, have no team brand kit. You edit the MagicPost brand kit in the My brand kit window, which has three tabs: Colors, Style and Identity. MagicPost creates your kit the first time it is needed, with the name, headline and photo of your LinkedIn profile.
Open your brand kit
In the MagicPost sidebar, open Media under Manage.
Open the Visuals tab or the Carousels tab.
Click My brand kit, next to the creation button.
In MagicPost, the My brand kit button only appears in a tab that already holds at least one visual or carousel. On an empty tab, open the kit from one of these places instead:
In the MagicPost visual wizard, on the Design step with a template selected, the colors menu next to Style shows Template colors by default. It has an Edit brand kit entry.
In the MagicPost carousel wizard, on the Choose a template screen, click Edit next to My brand kit.
In the carousel editor and the visual editor, the My brand kit card has an Edit link.
Manage your styles
A MagicPost brand kit holds one or several styles. A style is a set of colors plus a design: its look, its typography and its background pattern. The styles are listed under the tab bar when you are on Colors or Style, and both tabs edit the style you select there.
The + button (Add a style) creates a style as a copy of the selected one. It disappears when the MagicPost kit has reached its maximum number of styles. Team styles do not count toward that maximum.
The three-dot menu of one of your styles, labeled Style options, has a Rename entry. Duplicate this style appears until the MagicPost kit is full. Set as default appears on a style that is not the default, unless your organization has a team brand kit. A delete entry that names the style appears when you have more than one style of your own.
The style that carries the Default badge is the one MagicPost uses when you do not choose a style yourself. The MagicPost carousel wizard is the exception: on the Choose a template screen, it preselects the choice of the last carousel you generated in that browser, either a style of your kit or one of the Preset styles. Without a previous generation, the carousel wizard preselects the default style.
When a MagicPost team organization has a team brand kit, the My brand kit window lists the team styles under Team, then your own styles under My styles. A team style is read-only in that window: it has no Style options menu, and its Colors and Style tabs show its colors with a Copy to my styles button.
In the MagicPost My brand kit window, Copy to my styles turns a team style into one of your own styles, which you can change. The button is greyed out when your own styles are full. The first team style is the default style of every member. An administrator also sees Edit in settings, which opens the team brand kit.
Colors tab
The Colors tab of the MagicPost brand kit sets three colors for the selected style:
Main color: the dominant color, used for headings, figures and highlighted elements.
Block background: the background of cards, callouts and highlights. With some designs on some page backgrounds, the design does not use this color, or uses it only for the background pattern: the hint under the field then says so.
Page background: the color behind everything else.
Under the three colors, Ready-made palettes proposes complete palettes that match the design of the style. The MagicPost brand kit has no field for the text color: MagicPost sets it for you.
Style tab
The Style tab of the MagicPost brand kit sets the design of the selected style. You pick a design among the tiles, and See more designs shows the full list. Three sections refine it: Fine-tune the design, Typography and Background pattern.
The design of a MagicPost style applies to carousels and to visuals built from a template. It does not apply to AI visuals: an AI visual keeps the rendering style chosen at generation, and takes only your colors and your signature from the kit.
Identity tab
The Identity tab of the MagicPost brand kit is the same for all your styles. It sets:
Photo and Logo, picked in your MagicPost library. Use my LinkedIn photo takes your LinkedIn profile picture.
Name and Subtitle, under Information. The subtitle is free text, for example your job title.
Displayed items: one toggle each for Photo, Name, Subtitle and Logo. An item that is switched off does not appear on your designs.
Save and apply the kit
In the MagicPost My brand kit window, nothing is saved until you click Save my brand kit. Closing the window or clicking Cancel discards your changes.
A saved MagicPost brand kit applies to the carousels and visuals you create next. It does not change the ones you already created. When you open the kit from an editor, check Apply to this visual as well or Also apply to this carousel to apply the selected style to the open design too.
In the MagicPost editors, the My brand kit card tells you whether the open design still follows your kit, or a team style ("This visual follows the team style", "This carousel follows the team style"). Apply brings the design back to a kit style.
In the My brand kit card of the MagicPost carousel editor or visual editor, when the open design has moved away from your kit, Add this design to my styles saves it as a new style. When the kit is full, the link is Replace the selected style with this design. That link only appears when the selected style is one of your own styles: a team style cannot be replaced.
In the MagicPost editors, Add this design to my styles and Replace the selected style with this design save your brand kit immediately, without the Save my brand kit button. MagicPost confirms with "Brand kit saved".
These two links of the MagicPost editors also copy the identity of the open design into your brand kit: its name, subtitle, photo, logo and displayed items replace those of the kit. Because the identity is the same for all your styles, every style of the kit then carries the identity of that design.

Team brand kit, for team admins
A MagicPost team brand kit is a set of styles that an administrator of a team organization, on the Team plan, offers to every member. In a team organization, every administrator can open Settings and set it. It holds styles only: each member keeps the photo, name and logo of their own kit. Agency organizations do not have a team brand kit.
In the admin view of your MagicPost organization, click Settings under Manage, then open the Brand kit tab.
Click Start from my brand kit to begin with the styles of your own kit, or Create a style to start from the MagicPost default style. Start from my brand kit only appears once you have saved your own kit.
Set the Colors and the Style, then click Save team brand kit.
On the Brand kit tab of the MagicPost organization settings, each team style has Edit and an options menu with Rename, Duplicate this style, a delete entry, and Set as default on the styles that are not the default. Add a style adds one until the team kit is full. The tab also shows what members see.
Editing or deleting a MagicPost team style does not change the carousels and visuals already created. A deleted team style no longer appears in the members' kits. Deleting the last team style deletes the whole team brand kit, and members are back to their own styles only.
FAQ
Does my brand kit apply to both carousels and visuals?
Yes. MagicPost keeps one brand kit per account: the kit you open from the Visuals tab and the one you open from the Carousels tab are the same. Colors and identity apply everywhere. The design of a style applies to carousels and to visuals built from a template, not to AI visuals.
Why don't I see the My brand kit button?
The MagicPost My brand kit button is hidden while the Visuals or Carousels tab is empty. Create a first visual or carousel, or open the kit from a wizard: Edit brand kit in the colors menu of the visual wizard, or Edit next to My brand kit in the carousel wizard.
Can I use other colors for one generation without changing my kit?
Yes. In the MagicPost carousel wizard and visual wizard, the colors menu has a Custom choice. A custom palette applies to that carousel or visual only and is not saved in your brand kit.
Which style does MagicPost use if I choose nothing?
MagicPost uses the style that carries the Default badge. To change it, select another style in the My brand kit window, open its three-dot menu (Style options) and click Set as default, then save.
In a MagicPost team organization with a team brand kit, the default style is the first team style, and members do not see Set as default. An administrator changes it on the Brand kit tab of the organization Settings.
The MagicPost carousel wizard is the one exception to the default style. It preselects the choice of the last carousel you generated in that browser, which can be another style of your kit or a preset style. You can pick a different style before you generate.
Do I have to click Save my brand kit for every change?
Only in the My brand kit window. In the MagicPost carousel editor and visual editor, Add this design to my styles and Replace the selected style with this design write to your brand kit as soon as you click them. They also replace the identity of the kit with the identity of the open design.
Can I change the text color in my brand kit?
No. The MagicPost brand kit exposes three colors per style: Main color, Block background and Page background. The text color is not a setting of the kit.
Can I change a team style in my brand kit?
No. In a MagicPost team organization, a team style is read-only in the My brand kit window, administrators included. Click Copy to my styles to get a copy you can change. Only an administrator edits the team style itself, on the Brand kit tab of the organization Settings.
