In the Netherlands, the standard "best time to post" advice is wrong.
At MagicPost, we analyzed 44,410 Dutch LinkedIn posts in Amsterdam time. Almost everywhere else, the early weekday morning wins clearly. In the Dutch data, it does not.
Well-sampled morning slots score at the floor of the week (a morning post does no better than its author's usual), the mild winners are early evenings, and no well-sampled Dutch slot scores above 40 out of 100.
So the Dutch verdict reads differently from every other country page on this site: the Netherlands is the one market in our data with no real peak. When you post buys you little here, and what you post matters all the more.
The best hours to post on LinkedIn in the Netherlands
Two things stand out, and neither is the usual story:
Mornings sit at the floor. 7am scores 20 out of 100 and the 8am to 9am rush, the busiest Dutch hours, scores 1 to 3: a morning post does no better than its author's usual. The Netherlands does not reward the 7am ritual that wins in France or the UK.
The mild lean is the early evening. The best-scoring reliable hours are 7pm to 9pm, at 37 to 42. That is a lean, not a peak: even the Dutch "best" hours are modest by other countries' standards.
(The 6am slot looks high in raw numbers but sits on too few posts to score reliably, so it is grayed out and excluded from the ranking, as in every country we publish.)
Why is there no best time to post on LinkedIn in the Netherlands?
We can only measure the what, not the why, so take this part as informed reading rather than data.
The Dutch professional scene is small, dense and extremely online in English and Dutch alike. Feeds are less flooded at any single "rush hour" than in Paris or New York, so no slot gets the before-the-crowd advantage that creates sharp peaks elsewhere.
Whatever the cause, the pattern in the numbers is consistent: no Dutch slot clears the bar that defines a real peak in other countries.
That has a practical upside. Dutch creators are free: post when your own routine makes you consistent, because no Dutch slot shows a clear lift you could miss.
What top Dutch creators actually do
The flatness shows in the habits of the biggest Dutch creators. We pulled two years of posts from the top Netherlands-based creators we track and looked at where each one lands:
Elisa Baas (159k followers) posts most often at 7am, with 84% of her posts in the morning, and it clearly works for her, even though Dutch mornings are weak on average. Content carries the clock.
Jesse Geul (105k) and Robin van Veen (32k) favor 10am; Michel Mousa (37k) and Angela Nijs (23k) sit at 9am.
Lotte de Man (35k) posts most often at 8pm, squarely in the evening lean the data shows.
Six top creators, five different go-to hours, all growing. That is what a flat market looks like in practice: in the Netherlands, the winners pick a rhythm they can keep and put the effort into the post itself.

So when should you post in the Netherlands?

MagicPost ran the numbers on 44,410 Dutch LinkedIn posts published through May 2026, in Amsterdam time, judged each post against its own author's usual engagement so the big accounts do not warp the average, and threw out any slot too thin to score.
The creator habits are read off the public posting records of the Netherlands' largest accounts, the same data MagicPost uses to suggest a posting time in the app.
